About

Scavenge and fight for your next day alive under the shadow of gargantuan war machines. Enemies in the game can literally tower over the battlefield. To put it another way:

The battlefield is unpredictable thanks to The Forever Winter’s Dynamic Encounter system: enemies have their own goals and agendas, operating in coordinated groups, undertaking full-scale battles — and they’ll intelligently react to your actions. The battlefield you leave won’t be the same one you return to.
Use your wits, stealth, and skilled gunplay to make it out alive. Choose your path in the shadow of the two great superpowers, loot the dead, and make it out alive. While the warring factions may ignore you at first, the more disruptive you become to their goals, the more they'll seek to remove you from the equation.
Ecological collapse compounded by runaway technological advancement brought us here: a world choked by 40 years of industrial-scale violence between two military superpowers, unmerciful mass killing by AI automata, human-machine hybrids, and the bleak truth of human nature. There’s two sides to this war, and you’re not on either.

My time so far couldn't decide if I loved or hated the game. After a few runs I'm willing to keep grinding this game seems like a diamond in the rough. If the devs keep working hard on this I can see it going far. I do however can see why this game can scare players away.
Very bad AI fix it. I'll wait
TRASH Don't Buy it
Not going to lie. The first two years for this game were absolute ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ and the gameplay felt impossible. Good thing the developers listen to the community well. So far the game has developed very positively for atleast a year
Awesome!
It's really good, if you're into the art concept. I'm completely blown away by the setting, map design, and art direction. It's seriously next level and carries the experience. Gameplay loop is co-op extraction shooter fare, but in the middle of an ongoing 3 way war featuring infantry, mechs, tanks, helicopters, and psychotic cyborg zombies. Every run has just the right amount of tension. Every second you're hoping a stray rocket doesn't hit you, or that a distracted enemy doesn't turn around. Maps are ginormous too, which was a shock considering how tight the art direction is. This game has jank though. NPCs act kind of weird sometimes, the game can throw random ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ at you like dying right out of spawn. Mantling and jumping work 99% of the time, but that 1% will send you flying or result in your death at the hands of murderous NPCs. AI behavior, although spectacular on the battlefield, is clearly pretty rudimentary. If you have any appreciation for great art, like extract shooters, and have tolerance for jank, this is a no brainer purchase.
active devs, lots of cool concepts, and the improvements are pretty steady. Im very excited for whats coming
I bought this game near when it first came out because of how good it's art direction was. I since hadn't touched it, but after booting it back up recently, it's clear how much love the devs have put into every aspect of it. If you're looking for a polished game with no bugs or little frustrations, Forever Winter isn't quite there yet. But if you're willing to look past the jank (and the terrible time-based mechanics) than this game is a real treat.
Mucho por mejorar jugar bug visuales y jugar en cooperativo muestra un bug de muerte sin opción de revivir e ignoran al compañero que no muere
Not big into reviewing stuff, but I got this game last week and I'm having a blast! I can't speak on how this game was before the updates but as of right now things feel pretty good. Controls feel fine, the atmosphere is great. The game loop is easy to get the hang of but still presents a challenge. Its not hard to grind and get gear and rig upgrades. Just be careful about taking your good gear on runs that you aren't familiar with yet because you do lose most of the items you have on you if you die. Quests are straightforward. The innards upgrades are the most "grindy" part of the game from what I can tell. There are some bugs that I've seen but nothing has been game breaking for me. One example was the sign that shows how much water you have in the innards was saying 27 when I had 28 water. But the sign fixed itself after I came back to the innards after a run. That's all I've really noticed so far. All and all I feel like this game has great potential and if the devs continue listening to their audience, then I am very excited for this games future.
