The Forest to bardzo fajna gra survivalowa z dobrym, momentami naprawdę niepokojącym klimatem. Kilka razy udało jej się sprawić, że porządnie podskoczyłem, szczególnie podczas nocnych wypraw albo eksplorowania ciemnych jaskiń. Budowanie bazy, zbieranie surowców, odkrywanie wyspy i walka z kanibalami potrafią dać sporo frajdy. Gra nie prowadzi gracza mocno za rękę, dlatego dużo rzeczy trzeba odkrywać samemu, co dobrze pasuje do survivalowego klimatu. Według mnie The Forest jest jednak zdecydowanie bardziej nastawione na grę z kimś. Wspólne budowanie schronienia, wyprawy do jaskiń i ratowanie się podczas ataków są dużo ciekawsze niż samotna rozgrywka. Grając solo, dość szybko zaczęło mi brakować motywacji i całość zrobiła się trochę monotonna. W kooperacji gra potrafi wciągnąć na wiele godzin, natomiast samemu znudziła mnie znacznie szybciej. Mimo wszystko warto zagrać, szczególnie z kolegą.
