About

Antiquarian Thomasina Bateman is writing a book on the barrows of England, documenting the treasures she finds buried within. When an intriguing letter summons her to the small village of Bewlay, tucked away in the remote countryside, she sets off by train with her assistant a day behind.
Upon her arrival, however, the mysterious man who summoned her is nowhere to be found. Her assistant never arrives. A stubborn landowner refuses access to the barrow, and the locals are wary of this woman who is traveling alone and (gasp!) wears trousers.
The excavation of Hob’s Barrow is off to a rocky start. And then Thomasina starts having strange dreams…

A great point-and-click game with plenty of mystery and a bit of horror. The puzzles were paced well and the voice acting was phenomenal. I found the story intriguing throughout (probably about 6-10 hours of gameplay, give or take), and thought the ending was unique in its own sense, and in a fitting way to end the tale. Definitely recommend if you like dark, folk-type storytelling.
A very good point and click adventure horror game. You get a well told classic eldritch horror story set in an interesting time/place that doesn't get much exposure. You play as an interesting character, well played by a beloved voice actor. The puzzles work quite well, I'm someone who gets a bit frustrated with the classics in the genre because the puzzles are always a bit contrived and obscure in those, in this they're logical and generally quite contained to the areas you have access to. A strong recommend, if you like horror games or puzzle games or both.
Too linear for me. More running around than story and puzzles really
Loved playing this game on my steam deck. The story is fun and perfect as is without saying much spoilers to add my 2 cents on the story xD but I def would love for people to buy it more to encourage the developer to maybe add some DLC like maybe a side quest that introduces a NG+ like ending that will also allow you to maybe get some achievements missed on the first playthrough. If you love point and click adventures that are casual you would love this =)
Pretty cool point & click adventure game, nice atmosphere and the voice acting is a big plus. The puzzles were nice and not too obscure by adventure game standards. I would've really liked some branching paths or multiple ways to approach certain things but it doesn't subtract much from the experience.
Great game! Was hooked the whole way through. Ending was interesting. This could be a great novel or movie too !
a point and click with old school vibes. You are able to do different dialogue choices, which can make you feel more in character, but ultimantly don't actually change anything. There is only 1 ending, and whilst i confused the f outta me, I think I understood. and wouldn't be the outcome I would have chosen... can't help to feel slightly ripped off at the end.
Persevere with day one and then a wonderful story unfolds. Beautiful bit of art.
It's overrated. It has a decent if somewhat unfulfilling story. The games commits some of the genres worst offenses: - Interacting with the same npc several times in a row to move the plot on. - Using the same item again and again to do things. The game also have a lot of locations and it's very difficult to an overview over where you have been. A proper map would really help. This would also fix the problem of the game using cardinal directions (eg. east and west) to point you towards objectives.
