About
Note: You don’t need to have played the first chapter to enjoy this one.
At 15 years old, I released my first survival horror game on Steam, The Designer's Curse, a game inspired by influential old-school horror titles such as Amnesia and Penumbra. Now, after finally finishing uni, I'm excited to bring you Chapter Two, Forgotten Horrors—an engaging survival horror experience. Explore Shaw Well Manor once more, uncovering its dark secrets and immersing yourself in it's tenebrous atmosphere.
Featuring incredible original music by Mikko Tarmia, known for his work on Amnesia and SOMA, the game delivers a hauntingly beautiful experience. With advanced physics-based gameplay (inspired by the works of Frictional Games) and terrifying creatures roaming the manor, you'll navigate its eerie halls as Albert, uncovering a story shrouded in mystery.
With satisfying, immersive physics inspired by the works of Frictional Games, the game's world is just at your fingertips.
I made this game pretty much on my own, coding away in my university dorm—though I had some help from a few talented friends. After all that work, I’m so proud to say it’s finally finished.
As you explore, you can physically jot down your own notes in the inventory to keep track of vital clues. A built-in notebook also logs solved puzzles, ensuring you never lose progress.

I absolutely loved the original game and I'm so glad the devs continued their work! This game replicates Amnesia so well and it really brings back those old horror vibes. Pros: + Interesting story + Decent graphics + Insane monsters + Decent puzzles + Great Jumpscares + The artwork is fantastic Cons: - I feel like the crank wheels didn't always work but its hard to tell if it was my mouse or the game My Playthrough: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6DYgYfyHV4k Steam Curator Page: https://store.steampowered.com/curator/10995314-Szamer%2527s-Collection/?appid=2019760
Simply one of the best horror games that I have played. It has unique monsters, a nice story, unique puzzles and amnesia vibe. The environment is eerie and put you on edge throughout the gameplay. Full Gameplay: https://youtu.be/bmkm6GKQDYA

I just finished playing The Designer's Curse and The Designer's Curse Chapter 2, and I have to say for it being made by pretty much one developer, that this is some REAL GOOD STUFF. The game play is great and the some of the jump scares got me! The sound, music and more really immerse you into the atmosphere. The puzzles weren't too difficult but can get you if you aren't looking hard enough, so keep those peepers open! The only feedback I would give to Christian (the developer) is... PUT SOME DAMN ACHIEVEMENTS IN YOUR GAME! I NEED IT! THANK YOU.
I'm sneezyferrets, I just finished doing a let's play of this game (no this review isn't so I hope you watch it...In fact DON'T watch it, just play this) This is genuinely a good game, and definitely worth your time and money. I praised chapter 1 as being a fantastic addition to the horror genre, with it's wonderful music and creepy atmosphere. Chapter 2 is even better. The puzzles are perfectly done and actually make sense, being neither too hard or boringly easy. The game doesn't hold your hand, but, it does offer enough clues as to what you should be doing. I don't want to spoil your play-through, but, there is a scene near the end of the game with a certain vent that i absolutely loved...It's brilliantly written...This game is worth playing just for that.
This is a very fun and well designed game for 5 dollars. The atmosphere is great, the music is hauntingly good, and the physics are very fun and the puzzles are quite clever. I especially loved the lamp puzzle at the start, that was a very good use of the physics engine, honestly. The physics in general make for very fun, engaging, and clever puzzles, and I think the game made use of its mechanics quite well. I was able to beat the whole game without using lamp oil or health kits but those being there will for sure help players so I'm glad they're there. Overall a very good and fun experience for a fitting price. The first chapter is free also but I didn't play it beforehand.
