The Cubedex of Brass and Wood contains six puzzling machines. For some, the goal is obvious but the solution is not; for others, figuring out the goal is part of the puzzle.

Some good puzzles with variations. Fairly short but very high quality. I liked the weights a lot.
Well designed, small puzzles to spend an afternoon on.
Ein unterhaltsames Rätselspiel. - nicht so lang - habe es in unter zwei Studen gelöst. Ich freue mich schon sehr auf das kommende Sequel :D Dank für das schönes Spiel, TCHOW!
I can't fully recommend. The first 4 of the 5 main puzzles (not counting the cubedex endgame) were OK, even though I solved one of them (Cart) with a really trivial program when I was just trying to learn the rules of that puzzle. "Machine" was the only fun and interesting one from these 4, the other 2 being mostly just uncreative and "fiddly". The 5th puzzle "clock" looked interesting and my kind of puzzle related to encoding, but I just could not figure it out despite spending a lot of time on it. Maybe it's me, but I am usually very good at this type of puzzle (I have an advanced degree in electrical engineering and computer science) of puzzle so I am just confused whether the problem is with me or the puzzle design. There is a guide that just gives solutions with no explanation so I still don't know what I missed and it's kind of frustrating. Similarly with the very last puzzle - I just didn't get it. I wish there was some kind of hints or at least explanations. At the end I just felt unfulfilled and frustrated.
There aren't enough puzzle games like this on Steam. I give the upvote assuming you are also the type of person who searched the store for "puzzle hunt". Cart was my favorite. Maze was my least favorite. Clock wasn't very difficult, but it was more like the type of puzzle I was hoping to find. I get the impression that I'll really like Machine once I've beaten each variant; I will probably come back to it when I have the time. This game should probably be $3, not $5. I would have liked to see a few more cart levels which introduce a larger cart, and extra versions of clock.
