I love this math game. Fun to play. Sometimes I even play it, myself, just to see how high a score I can get with a single "spell". My kids like it and I like it. I really really want them to come out with Level 2! and 3 too!
really good if you studyed in school. yes i'm looking at you gamers
Fun game to practice very basic arithmetic. Meant for kids, but I like solving easy problems as a break from harder puzzles, usually trying to do them as fast or efficiently as possible as a challenge.
Much better than I expected. Very good math game. My daughter finished it and immediately asked to do it again at a higher level. You can't ask for more than that. There's nice progression and in each castle battle allows 1,2 or 3 star victories. The number generation algorithm they are using is very good. It's not just random numbers where maybe you find what you need or maybe you don't. There is always a path to victory but as you get higher you get fewer paths. Each progression has been foreshadowed. So what starts as a nice path to bonus points becomes necessary to not lose towers at the higher levels. It builds very well and as more math is required you also get more spells and more options. So it rewards the player very well. Well worth the price. I look forward to more games like this coming to steam.
Tags: Casual - Number Additional Tags: Delete Local Content & Remove from Library TLDR: Unity Engine. Think Plant VS Zombies in which you must do simple math to stop waves. Edutainment. Unclear intended audience. Does not have resolution options but fullscreens correctly and at least has enough polish to offer multiple languages. The medieval magic thematic along with a clean but colorful anime style and cute monsters is married with a simple elementary school grade addition and substraction game in by which you clear a board from advancing monsters tower defense style. The overall package holds up together quite nicely and would make a good educational game for the young while still being a casual mindless gaming experience that still requires a minimum of attention from an adult. Sound design is decent and does not grate but has not been recorded at studio grade quality. If you are an adult and dislike tower defense but liked the edutainment aspect I recommend Hydra slayer which involves making careful use of weapons and abilities to "substract" heads out of multiplying regenerating hydra monsters in a roguelike setting. https://store.steampowered.com/app/432380/Hydra_Slayer/
The Counting Kingdom is one of those educational games that fully delivers on the concept. There's a series of levels with unique loadouts of attacking monsters and defenses, such as number-altering potions, and the art is nice. As an adult with a Mathematics degree I enjoyed my time with the difficulty curve. It's definitely not a game I want to replay but, if you are in the target age group or want to grind your mental math skills, the monster waves are freshly generated each run.
Excellent for teaching mental math to my five and six year olds. We need more games like this.
Fun math game.
I would recommend for any parent who is trying to get their kid into math
Solid little math tower defense game. Great for kids learning addition and subtraction and such. Also, doesn't overstay its welcome, which I always appreciate.
