Truly a wonderful and poetic game. So many ideas to think about. Excellent graphics and a soundtrack that touches your heart. The gameplay is really basic, just follow the narration to get to the end, but to get all the achievements you will definitely have to replay it (luckily you can choose the chapters with the missing pages). - A little color in this black and white world -

If you are looking for an unusual, artistic experience, then The Collage Atlas may be the perfect game for you. Think of a 3D pen & ink picture book that you can step into and explore. Open the cover and the magic begins. Combine beautiful visuals with a soothing soundtrack and some poetic thoughts about life, and you have a wonderful escape from the cares of real life. This game is truly lovely, with detailed artwork that you can directly experience as you traverse a variety of landscapes and structures. The game does no hand-holding. At times it is confusing, as it is not clear what you should do next. Most areas require some activity on the part of the player. Finding keys, activating secrets, discovering hidden pages, gaining access to high places. It is enough to keep a player with a heart for adventure busy for days! The game saves on exit. When you complete The Collage Atlas, you have full access to all pages and a count of collectibles is provided. Thus, you can circle back to any area for missed achievements without starting a new game. This is a feature that I greatly appreciate. Although I normally play with a keyboard and mouse, I found that this game worked best for me with an X-Box controller. The controls are simple and intuitive. While some achievements are story related, most can be overlooked. Some relate to secret areas that bring a sense of wonder when revealed. The trickiest achievement is earned by finding all pages within the book. These are hidden and respawn so finding them requires a level of diligence that I am not sure I possess. I will say that each time I return to an area, I find something new to make me smile. I highly recommend The Collage Atlas to gamers with a heart for patient discovery… to those who still enjoy the child-like delight that comes from stumbling upon an unexpected and beautiful moment. It feels weird to say, with this being an entirely ink hand drawn game, but this is so much more than just its art. Dont let the style fool you, its more than a walking sim and it trusts you as the player to make your own conclusions on what its trying to say. A true hidden gem

絵本というよりは、誰かの夢の中をさまよってるといった感じかな さまよいながら言葉を探して、物語を完成さるんだろうけど 文章が情緒的すぎるのと、強制的にコントローロールを奪われてカットシーンが入るのだけど それが頻繁に起こるうえ、何を表現したいのかが分からないからあまり引き込まれない やりたいことが出来ずに勝手に進んでしまうってのと、何の脈絡もない映像を見てるので やはり夢かな 奇麗なんだけど、近寄ると残念な箇所ばかりなので、絵本ならもっと抽象的でカラフルな方が もっと惹かれるのになって思いました 店長

Grab your headphones, find a comfy spot, and dive into this game—it’s perfect for a single-session playthrough. You can feel the love and care that went into making it, and it blew me away. The instructions are built into the gameplay, so everything flows naturally. On top of the beautiful art, the poems were a wonderful surprise that added so much depth. The message is wholesome and uplifting, leaving me with a warm feeling that stuck around long after I finished

If you like art, you really should try this game. I pretty much knew this was going to be good before I played it. I'm a keen amateur painter myself so I really appreciated the plentiful skill and care put into creating this. There's no way I'd have been able to do fine pen drawings like these. Exploring these transient, ethereal spaces is a serene experience. Rain falls from the sky, messages assemble out of nothing, built structures created out of these pen and ink drawings have no depth and can be walked straight through, and yet combine to make a real presence. You spend about half the game chasing what seem to be "keys", helped by picking up lanterns illuminated very faintly against the white background. If I had to describe the game, I'd say you mostly "fill in the blanks", or at other times unlocking what appear to be giant anchors. Why? Well, it appears you're going on some sort of journey, and it's no mere walking simulator either, it actually has some gameplay! The rest? I'll not give it away, it's best really to dive into this one on the basis of the aesthetic and sound alone. All those years the developer has put in painstakingly drawing these scenes has paid off dramatically in terms of how good the game is, so congratulations. I hope it sells well.

This game is pretty short, but what it lacks in length it makes up for in beauty and story. Very wholesome, and the inked assets are beautiful. There are simple puzzles to solve along the way as you journey through the story, nothing too hard or complex as the main focus of this game is the poem you are playing through. This developer spent many years working on these assets, and the dedication and effort IMO paid off. Each 'area' you journey to is unique, and there were surprises in the settings I didn't really expect. There is some minor replay-ability, as there are secrets to collect. The sound design was great. Sometimes, it was easy to get lost or turned around, especially in certain areas where there were repetitive assets/inkwork. I streamed this game to 2 friends, and while they found the gameplay a little bit repetitive to watch, they also agreed the artistic direction of this game is great and the story being told fits it too. If you have 1-2h to spare, it wont be wasted playing this game.

I haven't finished the game, but it's absolutely gorgeous. I'm not much of a gamer, much less on PC, but the game is kind to my uninitiated fingers. Autosaving and time to figure out every puzzle/ goal, the ability to go back to previous areas - the exploration of this fascinating world carries no rush and makes for a breathtaking journey. So, while I haven't finished, the game has already touched me, and as we say - it's the journey that matters, not the destination.

This is an absolute work of art. I was absolutely gripped by the beautiful world at every moment, and I cried at the end because I didn't want it to be over. The music is GORGEOUS, the visuals are GORGEOUS, the story is minimalist and beautiful and just what I needed when I played this. Thank you for the adventure <3
