This is a strange but amazing game that is probably banned on other platforms so most likely you can only play it on PC due to the theme. But it's great and has a great soundtrack too!

Rita Tickle is looking for a job. -- To the ones who dont know the game: In 2026 - I'm 45 and bored with almost all games because I've played and seen everything for the last 35 years. When the credits rolled on this one, I felt something again. Thank you devs for this. To me it was a really exciting, interesting ride - one I wont forget for some time.

This is one of those games that you encounter on a random night scrolling through heaps of garbage on your steam page or through a discovery queue, however you may find it. It has overwhelmingly positive reviews and it kind of just draws your eye since that's pretty rare on steam. It's fairly cheap, so chances are you'll just get it and put it on your backlog if this seems like your kind of game. I implore you HEAVILY to just play it, and if you haven't already bought it then do that. There are rarely games, the only other one I can think of being Disco Elysium, that depict a state of complete decay and misery so well. Everything is a fight, from getting up, to making coffee, to taking a shower without losing it. It's always a struggle, and for many, including myself, it doesn't end for a long time. It takes all the gall in the world to stick around day after day and deal with your routine, even if it sucks like ♥♥♥♥ and decide not to clock out of your shift in life and call it quits. If you've ever genuinely felt depressed in the sense that you feel like you have nothing left, please even more than in general play this game. It has changed me substantially as a person and I feel it has a powerful effect on basically anyone who plays it. Life genuinely sucks, but there is always a way out whether or not you may think so. Thank you to the developers for creating this, and I hope you follow this review and buy it, it's one of my favorite games of all time.

this game is truly a masterpiece and a classic even though it explores many dark themes, i felt really comforted by it. i have experienced a lot of violence by the hands of men, and have been struggling with depression, anxiety and cptsd for half of my life now. there's something very life affirming about looking all that violence in the eye, being able to strike back and make a choice to continue living and trying to be happy. the story is just so well-written, raw and well-executed. i am honestly baffled that this game doesn't have 100x more reviews, and i would love to see more people appreciate it

It's hard to find anything positive to say about this game. A one-dimensional cast meanders its way through an incoherent mess of B-horror tropes and sententiousness Scotch-taped together and labeled "plot." The game expects the weight of its subject matter to cover for the utter lack of insight or intelligence in its treatment thereof (and the con worked on professional critics, apparently). The visuals betray that the artists didn't care enough to draw with an eye toward consistent style or on-screen size. The voice acting is beyond amateurish; the recording, technically bankrupt; the mix, about the sloppiest I've heard in a commercial work. You will sit through minutes of unskippable, irrelevant dialogue when you solve a puzzle before the writer thought you would. You will [i]accidentally[/i] skip important text lines, because the mode-error poster-child control scheme maps "walk" and "skip text that appears after walking" to the same button. You might even softlock the game opening your inventory in the first chapter, like I did. But you won't find an internal logic to the puzzles, because there is none. Items exist for the sole interaction the script demands, then mysteriously vanish (except for the burnt hamburger, which even outlived [spoiler]Mitzi[/spoiler]). Low effort isn't an aesthetic. The Cat Lady isn't worth your time.

[b] [h2] Pretty solid game! It's quite heavy and strange at times though, so I DO NOT recommend for everyone! I highly recommend for those who are at least 18 as it says. [/h2] [/b] I played this during a time of having severe suicidal thoughts; which is exactly why I wanted to play it. But I actually didn't find it as sad as I was expecting/hoping for, and I also didn't feel any more or less how I was before playing, so I think that's good? 🤣 That's just me though; please be cautious as you play if you as well have these thoughts or feel emotionally/mentally unstable, because it may be a different experience for you. Do take care of yourself! 💜 I get bored of games quite easily, but for a 2D game, it kept me hooked straight from the beginning. I got stumped on many puzzles too which I quite enjoy; it makes it more rewarding when you get past a hard spot! Some of the rock music was also 10/10! Wish there had been more of that! I think overall, for a 2012 game and being able to grab it on the 95% off sale, I'm really happy I got to play this and 100% it! 🥳 If you don't find interest in it from the gameplay trailer, don't get it. Because that's exactly the game right there. But if you do, grabbing it while on a sale you likely won't be disappointed in the purchase. Just proceed with caution that it may be rough sometimes, and take breaks every 30 minutes to an hour if needed! [b] [h3] I hope you enjoy it as I did! Best of luck!! [/h3] [/b]
