Dropped this one simply for the reason that I find absolutely no joy in this game nor the storyline. I could not sit down more more than one hour per session until I was bored out of my mind or the pacing of the teenagers' story started to bother me. Apart from that, this game is poorly optimized. Severe frame rate drops, stuttering, and lag. Choppy transitions during cinematic scenes. You cannot jump between DLSS or FSR, let alone activate without the game having a near breakdown because of it.

AMAZING GAME, absolute cinema!

If your hardware is capable, the lighting and particles are superb - based on Unreal Engine 5. It comes with a huge downside too. Although I could play it smoothly, it did suffer from minor micro stutters when commencing into a new scene. It just lasted a second so it wasn't a big deal. HOWEVER, there were certain indoor places and I could notice the huge FPS drop from 100 down to 60 or below!!!! That was INDOOR. I must conclude that the optimization is subpar, unfortunately [*]Unfortunately, there were no interesting people or characters to like [*]The story dragged on forever, slowly, uninspiring and boring. I didn't like the pacing [*]The ending was a bit weird and very unsatisfying. [/list] Overall, quality-wise this title is NO match against The Dark Pictures Anthology games, especially House of Ashes, The Devil in Me etc. Even The Quarry had more soul and better pacing. For the sake of completing the game 100%, I played different scenes again to get the achievements. But I wasn't necessarily driven or motivated to play the game without pauses in-between because it was boring. Grab it when it's on sale. Maybe you'll like it but don't set your hope too high.
I really wanted to like this, but I am honestly disappointed.. it went by so quickly and it could have been interesting but the best/funniest thing was whenever you could go "Look, X! Just like in Dead by Daylight!" I know that Supermassive Games are usually more story heavy rather than big on the gameplay but :( I wouldn't get it again.
this game reminds me of the quarry, a small decision can lead to the death of a character and every choice leads to a different outcome. i finished the game and its a perfect 9/10 ( my opinion is biased because i love deadbydaylight). the entity is the creator of the trials where "death is not an escape". the casting of frank stone is the story of how the entity was let into the real world, this would lead to the creation the trials. you will run into a bunch of dbd references in this game, its definitely worth buying if you play deadbydaylight.

Glitch in the final cutscene making it so you cant finish the game? Why would I expect anything less from the creators of dead by daylight. Off to youtube i go because replaying a walking simulator with story development doesn't make much sense if you know the story.

I wasn't expecting much with the reviews of this game, but after playing it, i will say i thoroughly enjoyed it and loved the little references.
