As a fan of the old "North & South" game of the 90s, I cannot recommend this game. It is too goofy and the result is not polished or even fun.
Karakter: 3,5 / 10
Fun game but BUGs on top of BUGS on top of just annoyances. In the single half hour session I played I lost my mouse, which made me have to quit and reload from my save. The mouse appeared on the menu asking if I wanted to quit, not during the game play itself. Got stuck with the store open and no way to close it. When I reloaded the game it skipped my turn. Buying something from the store randomly ended my turn a couple times. Got pushed through a wall when I got shot defending the fort. Shot a guy more than 5 times on a train and they never got hit, they had their back to me and took over the train. Computer seems to be able to do things the user can't. Controls / Key mappings aren't shown in the options, only the option of which keyboard layout you want. They are only shown right before a battle, and for only 1-2 seconds with no way to bring them back. So if you don't know what does what then you just need to try everything. Every enemy takes 2 shots to kill, unless you get a head shot, though sometimes headshots go through their heads and other times it just knocks off their hats. Remember all of this was just in the first 30 minutes of game play. I loved playing the older version of this game years ago, but this one is just annoying and frustrating.
Blast from the past, for us ancient Amstrad 6128 users. The strategic map could be a bit more difficult, but loved every hour that I have played.
Fun Little Game for a small board like round...with okay mechanics...but price wise to overpriced.
