About

14th-century Europe. Bloody conflicts sweep the lands, and the Black Death comes for the survivors. It's a moment of weakness - and that's all they needed. Vampires seize their opportunity to walk out of the shadows and claim what they've been denied for centuries: freedom, and the power that comes with it. Other creatures of the night follow their lead. Legends turn into reality, and history as we know it will never be the same.
You play as Coen, a young man turned into a Dawnwalker, forever treading the line between the world of day and the realm of night. Fight for your humanity or embrace the cursed powers to save your family. Whatever your choice, the question stands: is your soul worth the lives of those you love?

Experience and shape the plot the way you want. Embark on the quest to save your family, or swear revenge on your sire and destroy everyone standing in your way. Discover ancient secrets lurking in the valley. Rush in head first or risk taking time to prepare. Go alone or search for friends and forge unlikely alliances.

Experience two different gameplay loops, offering distinct abilities to choose from, mysteries to uncover, and varying ways to achieve your goals. Experiment with different approaches and discover how the world reacts to your actions.

Every action - and inaction - shapes the world around you. Your family’s days are numbered, and every time you take on a quest, time moves forward, compelling you closer to the end. Choose carefully whom to help and whom to leave behind. You will not have time for everyone. The world waits for no one. And neither does the villain.

Defy gravity, become a brutal force of nature, and use your supernatural skills as a vampire. Or raise your sword, and employ powerful magic to take on opponents as a human. Experiment and adapt as your form changes during the day and night; each has its strengths and weaknesses.

Venture through the hand-crafted open world and discover all it has to offer. Roam through the lush forests, the vast plains, the treacherous swamps, the steep mountaintops, and the medieval settlements. Explore forgotten ruins, find remnants of an ancient civilization, and uncover truths that should probably remain hidden.

Experience the beginning of a brand-new saga built with love for the role-playing genre. Immerse yourself in a visually stunning world powered by the next-gen Unreal Engine 5.

Doporučuji a dávám 8/10

Addressing the elephant in the room, the time system isn't much of a problem. 30 days is more than enough to level yourself up to be a near unstoppable force. I've finished the game twice, and the endings are largely the same whether or not you save your family. So the whole rush to take on this goal of stopping Brencis has the impact of a wet fart. And, personally I think they fumbled the heck out of the story. There's a ton of lore, but so little of it matters. Sometimes it might point you towards something, other times it's just a well written bit of text that you'll sell for some of them sweet sweet monetary units. Many of the characters introduced feel pretty important, but matter very, very little. If that character does something specific for you, there's almost certainly another way to get it done. What you do in the valley doesn't have the kind of impact that gives the story any depth. Sure you can do a bunch of quests like saving villagers, completing tasks, and fighting Brencis' henchmen. Defeating his henchmen can be done after you gain enough notoriety or complete enough of their boring Ubisoft style base cleansing/hostage saving/destruction of stuff nonsense. But this almost always seems to be something that escapes the knowledge of most. That henchmen's soldiers still patrol the streets. There are still "anger the henchmen by completing this little questy quest," spread around the map if you haven't finished them. It makes no sense. Why would they still be doing very specific things for a very specific vampire that is no longer alive? There are some cool quests, but even those don't really feel impactful. Rewards are usually some kind of gear that will be underpowered the next time you kill some random soldier. Eh.. Basically story wise it's just rather superficial. There are some great characters that are given too little interaction with outside of their quests. There are also a surprising amount of quests that feel like nothing more than something to pass the time. The flow of the story is weird too. You'd expect there to be this sense of urgency, but there isn't. Even when you have the option to hurry things a long you'll be presented with a choice to do something else instead. You can also stumble into things by accident which has some pros and cons. The pros are that it feels immersive, like you're in a world where anything could happen. The cons are that doing some things early because you happened upon them before knowing they could also be quests... Well, you just miss out on the quests. Not always a problem, but I was disappointed by that. There is no morality system! Coen fully accepts his fate as a Dawnwalker. You have lots of options to take the more human side of things, or to make a morally good choice instead of a more nuanced vampiric choice. It does not matter. Chose to make a deal with someone instead of killing them? They'll get killed later anyway(sometimes). Decided not to drink some blood? You miss out on some abilities unless you find it another way later on. I wish the game had a morality system, because it really feels like Coen is the kind of guy that would try to do good whenever possible. There's numerous conversations about how corruption over time essentially takes your humanity away. It just feels like that's just a bunch of word salad without a real system to make that matter. Gameplay wise, they did a much better job. Combat takes a little bit to get used to, but once you do it is an absolute blast. I'm hoping we see more games that use this style of directional combat. It isn't very complex, really just a matter of timing and working with a wonky camera and targeting system. But.. alas.. Combat does suffer from a plethora of annoying enemies that aren't great for anything outside of experience grinding. I could never fight another wolf or bear in a game and I'd never miss it. Or ghost things. Soldiers were at least varied enough to almost always keep those fights interesting. Boss fights are usually a lot of fun due to them being so different than anything else you've run into. Oddly there are some mini-bosses of sorts that are far superior to any of the main bosses. You have 3 major methods of combat. Sword fighting, claw attacks with vampire abilities, and witchcraft. I personally stuck with sword fighting because I liked it. But claw attacks and vampire abilities have their usefulness as well. I think there's enough here to give you a pretty varied approach to combat. Traversal is another thing that you do so often that I feel like I ought to mention it here. It is good. You get abilities to move faster during the day and night, and those come very early. You also have shrines that you run by which activates them for fast travel. I don't suggest bothering with the restoring of the shrines that you'll see. The quests for them are 90% the same thing, and shrines are so close together that it didn't seem worth it. There's also a Nightcrawler style teleport that is awesome when it works. It's frustrating when it doesn't. And it doesn't work a lot. You end up under something and can't flip to the other side even though you have a prompt to do so. Or you inexplicably get some crazy frame drops while you try to do it. Svartrau City can burn in a fire. The city was problematic because the only crashes I experienced were randomly within its maze. And I mean the city is a maze. Especially when you start dealing with some of the locations that are elevated. But fret not, the vast majority of locations you'll see are well designed. We've got a few towns, some castles/fortresses, beautiful mountains, and a complex cave network that easily has some of the best questing/exploration in the game. Sound is great, voice work is quite good, and the music is beautiful for your ear holes. Some of the combat music gets a little tiresome because it doesn't feel like it fits. And that's about it. It's a solid game, but it's nothing groundbreaking. The story is largely forgettable, for me at least, and despite that allure of additional playthroughs I think 2 are enough for me. The combat is probably my favorite part of the game. If I were ever to play it again I wouldn't even bother with trying to save my family. I'd just go and fight everything and everyone I could.

Banger 10/10. Cant wait for more, This game is worth your money!
the story and characters are amazing, visuals are good, looks comparable to the witcher 3 witch is not a bad thing as that game even after 10 years looks really good, and the combat, takes a bit of getting used to you but once you get it down it is really satisfying, for a first game from a small but talented team i look forward to seeing the future for Rebel Wolves
It is one of the best choice and consequence, third person rpgs I have played. It is definitely worth a try for someone who likes these sort of games. I am generally not a fan of the time mechanic but you can do almost everything before the time runs out. Just need to make sure not to sit at shrines waiting (Waiting is a bait) or taking too many perks when you don't need to. Side quests are pretty good and makes the character more knowledgeable and at best gives you some unique gear. In rare occasions which happened three times gives you access to seperate ending or romance. Graphics? Who cares... In this economy... Enjoy what the rest of the game has to offer.
