About

14th-century Europe. Bloody conflicts sweep the lands, and the Black Death comes for the survivors. It's a moment of weakness - and that's all they needed. Vampires seize their opportunity to walk out of the shadows and claim what they've been denied for centuries: freedom, and the power that comes with it. Other creatures of the night follow their lead. Legends turn into reality, and history as we know it will never be the same.
You play as Coen, a young man turned into a Dawnwalker, forever treading the line between the world of day and the realm of night. Fight for your humanity or embrace the cursed powers to save your family. Whatever your choice, the question stands: is your soul worth the lives of those you love?

Experience and shape the plot the way you want. Embark on the quest to save your family, or swear revenge on your sire and destroy everyone standing in your way. Discover ancient secrets lurking in the valley. Rush in head first or risk taking time to prepare. Go alone or search for friends and forge unlikely alliances.

Experience two different gameplay loops, offering distinct abilities to choose from, mysteries to uncover, and varying ways to achieve your goals. Experiment with different approaches and discover how the world reacts to your actions.

Every action - and inaction - shapes the world around you. Your family’s days are numbered, and every time you take on a quest, time moves forward, compelling you closer to the end. Choose carefully whom to help and whom to leave behind. You will not have time for everyone. The world waits for no one. And neither does the villain.

Defy gravity, become a brutal force of nature, and use your supernatural skills as a vampire. Or raise your sword, and employ powerful magic to take on opponents as a human. Experiment and adapt as your form changes during the day and night; each has its strengths and weaknesses.

Venture through the hand-crafted open world and discover all it has to offer. Roam through the lush forests, the vast plains, the treacherous swamps, the steep mountaintops, and the medieval settlements. Explore forgotten ruins, find remnants of an ancient civilization, and uncover truths that should probably remain hidden.

Experience the beginning of a brand-new saga built with love for the role-playing genre. Immerse yourself in a visually stunning world powered by the next-gen Unreal Engine 5.

I was honestly doubting the game during the prologue. As soon as the massive open world opened up i instantly loved the game. Its exactly the type of open world i love. Every choice make a difference. Its definetly gore and maybe will not suit everyone because of it. But honestly its worth the try! I did have to tweek the graphics quite a bit for the game to look good and not look grainy and chopped. Its a game that seems to require quite a lot of hardware to be fluid and look good maybe some more optimization wouldn't hurt but its decent.
Absolutely loved the game, combat, and story

Me agobian.
I can say this game could be definitely worth the money - if it was released in a polished state. I give it a recommendation just to show appreciation for all incredible the work done by environment artists, actors, writers, level designers and people involved in the narrative development. However, I couldn't say the same kind words about game designers and the job game does on the gameplay in general. I play it on Duelist mode and all the little problems with gameplay design on this difficulty are really fun killers. First of all, even with limited stamina you can sustain dodge chains indefinitely. There is no penalty for amount of loot you carry or equipment type. So on lvl6, during nighttime I slaughtered Stonewood camp and freed the guy easy. This was kind of fun, considering I die from 2-3 regular attacks and one from bosses, but felt bit cheesy. This is probably the least of my worries, but I felt they could have done a better job making higher difficulty into a more explore-gear-up mode, for a story-heavy game. Next is automatic target locking. It is insanely frustrating as it is followed by a camera lock that limits your field of view. But then comes the next problem - after certain abilities (esp control ones), your lock automatically moves to next target. So I stun the dude, want to mash attack... BAM miss. I am not sure how this went past testing, but definitely needs fixing. Having played Lies of P and Wukong without hard-lock and never had the kind of issues I had with camera movement in this game. On top of this, you can get stuck in between two tiny chairs and banged from all sides while you are trying to piano blocks and dodges. Not sure who came up with an idea of having character strict follow props collision rather than flow around such areas - but this is not fun at all. Same two chairs pose no difficulty for Coen while exploring. Fighting multiple enemies is thus extremely dependent on the terrain. No poise on enemies makes no sense either. Yes I can control them a bit with active abilities or riposte, but not by hitting them 5 times with my sword in the face. Also no idea why on earth Inventory/Abilities UI can be activated during combat. You can't use potions or food not added to quickslots while in combat. But you can accidentally open UI to ruin your flow. One thing I never expected is that Witcher 3 devs will fail to deliver satisfying combat mechanics. Yet this game is bordeline in that regard. It has too much - witchcraft, swordmastery, vampire, all thrown at you in a very short time span. Yet you can do most of the job in human with dirty trick and in vampire with Claw Art + Blood Drain, while throwing dodges and blocks around. All this above is topped with the cherry of you spending precious time resource on leveling abilities and acquiring new perks. This has to be removed from the game, it is absolutely insane to upgrade a passive skill and shift into the night right after. Finally, unlike many UE5 releases I played recently, game crashes quite often after you reload in certain locations and stuttering is annoying as well. But I'm sure they will figure this part out no problem. Please polish the gameplay - blocking and riposte must be doable when fighting multiple enemies, instead of getting backstabbed. Like special abilities execute with full "cinematic mode" - but block is sure a high risk commitment, especially considering dodging is so easy. Fix collision on props. Fix target lock camera, remove the lock transfer on crowd control. TLDR, enable smooth combat flow like in Witcher 3 rather then this situation when I'm fighting Coen and his opponents at the same time lol. Last thing - limit inventory space. Having 200kg worth of inventory on Duelist makes no sense. I want to make choices and be motivated to go sell my stuff, rather than carry a truckload's worth and still run with lightspeed... But despite all said above, still 10/10 game please go buy, just don't play it on higher difficulties until it gets polished enough / stutter fixed.
Consigliato. ps. almeno 7 finali alternativi
good best game
A solid first installment, with plenty of meat to bite into. While relatively janky, I'd still recommend it to anyone with a fondness for the genre. Solid A for effort, and maybe a B for execution. Definitely looking forward to more.
I'm nearing the end of my first playthrough but I had to write a review because this game is has me in a chokehold and its definitely a strong contender for my GOTY! Sure it's got a few bugs here and there but nothing that cant be patched up and in my time playing there was nothing game breaking. I also want to get one thing clear before I get into the meat of my review to anyone who is considering buying it but may be worried about the 30 day time limit - It really isn't as punishing as you'd think. Yes, you wont be able to do every single quest in one playthrough, but I can say now I've explored nearly the entire map and gotten through a decent chunk of the quests. The game isn't designed to be completed in a single run, which in my opinion is a good thing! It just means you'll get to play it again and I know I'm not going to complain about that. Now to my actual review: THE PROS This game is like a love letter to the Witcher 3, so if you enjoyed that game this will certainly scratch that itch. The storyline is beautifully written, and you really grow to care about Coen and other characters that you meet along the way. No quest is completely the same and at no point did I find myself bored or stuck with what to do next. The world of Vale Sangora is stunning and there were times when I genuinely just stood there for a moment and just took it all in. Photo mode when? The combat is really fun. It took me a little getting used to but once you have the muscle memory down it becomes a lot less daunting. Landing perfect blocks on an enemy is super satisfying but it felt challenging enough that I didn't find myself just sitting back spamming my attack button. You need to lock in and really pay attention to what your enemies are doing which means it rarely feels stale and some fights had me on the edge of my seat in full goblin mode fighting for my life...it was GREAT! Massive replayability! You can really decide how you want to play Coen and the choices you make bring different outcomes, I'm already planning on doing another run where I'm going full evil bloodthirsty vampire mode and I'm excited for it. THE CONS Im a sucker for romances, so far I have done two of them and while I found them both sweet it felt like there could've had a bit more to them. I know that these aren't the main focus of the story, so it makes sense that they aren't given a huge amount of time in the spotlight. But even just being able to go visit them and give them a hug or kiss would've been nice! The UI especially in the journal was hard for me to navigate. Partially due to some bugginess with the controller constantly snapping me back to the top of the quest menu when I tried to scroll down, but also because all the text is the same colour and font. So I often found myself struggling to find quests and ended up with my face pressed against my monitor combing through it several times until I found the one I was looking for. A bit more space between each quest, some more fixes to the controller and making the quest titles bold and a bit bigger would fix all of that for me. My only gripe with the use of time was using it to level up my abilities. I found that I wasn't as precious about it the further I got in, but it added a bit of frustration and reluctancy to spend my points nearly as much as I probably should have. I personally would've preferred that not use up my time or at least have it so it didn't cost 1 time segment per ability. But on the other hand I also understand the reasons why they did and again the 30 day time limit is not quite as terrifying as it sounds so Im willing to let it fly. So to wrap this up - if you enjoy games with rich storytelling, choices that matter, memorable characters and gothic medieval vibes you're gonna love it!
