Reviews
While I believe the base price of 25 dollars to be egregiously high, as I have a feeling there isn't much variety between playthroughs, it is still a very nice game to play. Great visuals, sound design, and the combat is pretty neat if not a bit simple. Definitely a good game to pick up on a steam sale.

I don’t think there’s any game that can quite land a tone like Banner Saga. There’s nothing quite like it. The care and love in every piece of art and every nuance of the systems make these games something truly special, especially in a genre that struggles to capture something new. If you’re on the fence about Banner Saga but love FFT, Tactics Ogre, Fire Emblem, etc… It’s worth it

The Banner Saga is an extraordinary game! I absolutely loved the story and gameplay and, although I can see the gameplay being challenging for a lot of people, I felt like they both complemented each other quite nicely.
An excellent game that I highly recommend! My only problem is that the game actively damages its own replayability by attaching Renown to achievements, and thus making any subsequent playthroughs much harder. I've had a nightmare of a time trying to get my family into Banner Saga, and actually fell off it for a long time because life got in the way and I ended up having to restart the game a couple times, only to find the experience vastly harder when I started over again. But the story is great, the art is beautiful, and your choices feel meaningful. So should the trilogy strike your fancy, I think you should give it a shot.
