About
You have crash-landed on a lethal, radiation-soaked planet, and you are running out of time. A scorching sun that burns everything in its path is coming your way. Your only hope of survival is a massive mobile base too complex for one person to operate. You are forced to make a decision no human has ever faced: creating a crew of alternative versions of yourself.
But your solution may just become your biggest problem.
You crashed. You are entirely alone. The sun is a death sentence, and your mobile base must keep moving to outrun it. With no rescue coming, you must find a way to operate it, or you’ll die.
When the planet itself is your enemy, every second spent standing still brings you closer to ash.
To survive, you must move. To move, you need help. Forced to use the base’s advanced quantum technology and the planet’s unique resources, you must create The Alters: alternative versions of yourself. Brought to life by a supercomputer that turned your alternative life choices into reality, they are your only hope. They bring the specific expertise and capable hands you drastically lack, but they also bring their own human baggage.
A crew of ‘yourselves’ is a psychological nightmare. Every Alter arrives with distinct personalities, memories, and regrets. You aren't just managing resources. You are also a relationship manager to yourself, mediating conflicts and confronting your past choices lightyears from home.
As tensions rise, your Alters will clash over how to handle the mission. Keep them sane and keep them together, or your own egos will destroy your only chance of seeing Earth again.
Your rolling base is your lifeline, your factory, and your home. Customize and upgrade it to accommodate your growing crew. Research cutting-edge technologies, manage crucial life-support gear, and manufacture what you need to survive. Turn your base into a self-sustaining powerhouse capable of keeping both your crew fed and your systems humming.
You cannot hide inside the hull forever. To fuel your base and progress your research, you must step out onto the hostile planet's surface. Venture out into unpredictable anomalies and heavy radiation to mine essential resources.
But watch the clock, as every expedition is a high-stakes gamble against the oncoming burning sunrise.

Every market we collect.
Latest in each market: best FR #92, worst RU #99 · 3 markets collected
Too few observations to say whether a discount moves this store's chart at all: across the last 30 days Steam · Top Sellers · Poland has just 18 day-to-day chart moves that followed a price cut, against 2,498 that did not. We are publishing the count instead of a direction — 20 is the fewest we will draw a conclusion from, and price collection outside the United States began on 6 August 2026.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

I absolutely LOVED this game. I bought it without expecting much, but holy i was wrong. I really enjoyed the narrative with all the Alters (the clones) plots and how the main story was shaped by my choices. Everytime i had to take an important choice it was a heart clenching moment, where i had to think constantly if i was going to choose the right thing. This is the most interesting part, because every player has it's own morals and way of thinking and i think the narrative do a great job to deliver these deep emotions. Respect other "management" games where actions lead to an obvious and clear consequence, here managing the Alters was far from easy because everyone have their emotions and values, so i had to be careful with the base management (by building rooms that could satisfy their needs) and the overhaul interaction with each of them. So The Alters is a perfect mix between engaging Gameplay and a very well made narrative, all accompanied by wonderful musics and graphics. The DLC (The last Variable) is totally worth it because it adds new mechanics needed for the "new" story, and again an amazing job. My humble rate based on how much fun and emotional moments i had in this game is a 9.5/10. Absolutely i must buy if you like Sci-Fi settings and magement games!

I’m really on the fence about this one. I’d recommend it to someone like me who likes space and exploring the unknown (to a certain point), but not to everyone. The sci-fi concepts are interesting but not fleshed out properly. The mechanics and gameplay are also interesting, but they get repetitive. The mystery and the unknown were what drew me in, but once they were resolved, it just threw me off. It was great while I was speculating about what or who; the game even called me out on that, but once the answers came, it became as boring as reality. Exploration is interesting again, but the game doesn’t feel like it goes beyond its constraints. The gameplay is interesting, but I really expected gameplay decisions to factor into the story, it doesn’t go beyond that. Everything serves the story. I would certainly get different outcomes if I played like an ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥, but to do that would take effort I don’t wish to put in, since I already got the mystery. So I have no drive to try. I was all in on the game until the very scripted and forced story drama started to bother me and drag. Again, the concept is fine, but the execution was my issue. I expected more agency, but there is none that really affects the story. It feels like it has replayability, but only goes so far. I really wish to see more games like this, maybe more improved and meaningful mechanics and sci-fi lore, and less human drama. Hell, if I could take the base to places I chose and do different stuff there, it would have been great, but the story constrained me. I haven’t played the DLC though.
Fun game i really liked it even if there's not much you can do to keep a certain tech happy no matter what you do for them lol. Didn't like the DLC though a lot of it was just meh including the new alts.
