This is a cool idea and a funny story. But the game itself is not that fun to me. The first 20-30 minutes soaking the game in is hilarious though.
This retro-inspired game isn't amazing, but it's much better than it had any right to be, given that it's inspired by ancient games whose design is nowadays extremely outdated. I had an unfortunately bad start with the game when I initially dropped down extra floors whenever I could, which forced me to replay some rooms over and over T_T. The bonus dungeons were pretty fun. Getting to use abilities like double jump and infinite ammo there certainly made the game far more enjoyable. Despite its faux-console presentation, the game has some significant quality-of-life features; in particular, I accidentally finished a bonus dungeon without intending to, then discovered I could just reload the dungeon and pick up any items I'd missed. Overall, this was much better than I could've possibly expected. Much less time-wasting, too. Still only decent.
It's a good little game, especially if you buy it at the sales price. It's a great hommage to 8-bit games, with the good taste of saving your progress (which we didn't have at the time of actual 8-bit platformers). My only criticism is that the different color schemes are superfluous, and worse, they don't really correspond to any graphical constraints of the time. The first map is nice, a bit boring at the beginning, but it gets more captivating as you keep playing. My only problem is that the scroll of completion doesn't seem to work on the first map and this is a ♥♥♥♥♥. I don't have the patience to look for the 3 coins I missed somewhere. The second map is the most pleasant to play. Third map exceeded my patience for this game. An excellent platform game that emulates the classics of the golden age of the genre. The graphics are amazing!
эпик
A fun and short oldschool platformer with some nice puzzles.
really fun
Nice game, it is more suited for a portable device (I played it on the Switch). On PC sometimes the character seems to move by itself and I can't tell if it is the controller or a game bug. I have no stick drift issues in any other games. Regardless, for such a low price this game is a good buy.
pretty good graphics, decent controls, great music can't rebind controls but it's a tiny indie game so you can't complain really, i didnt dislike it but it was kinda funky quite a few bugs but again, indie game, no issue, besides they are just funny little things like jumping twice for some reason or dying on a different screen while not on that screen, or floating on a button on a wall overall i like it, i recommend it for such a low price.
