Totally solid "old but gold" style game... beyond the graphics, the gameplay really has the retro feel of a hidden gem for Game Boy, Apple II, etc. Had a lot of fun with this.
Really neat throwback release, although the only way to play it is with one of 7 "frames" for the game to look like it's on an old-school monitor. Fun novelty for the first five or ten minutes, but is ultimately a waste of space. The controls are still familiarly, frustrating, but the speed of gameplay (think roguelike "deaths") makes up for the numerous slip-ups and failures you'll encounter.
Great game!
3hrs to complete all the rooms. Well worth every cent.
Yes, surprisingly fun and well made. Good level design and music too. Recommended if you like platformers!
Retro puzzle platformer in which you can change the background colors with the TV type. Use the minimap to guide your character. Very enjoyable. Great when it's on sale. Controller friendly. https://steamcommunity.com/groups/indieretrogamers
Amazing throwback to good old times with this short & sweet retro platformer. Has 3 dungeons that can be completed in 2-4 hours depending on your play-style. The game has precise movements and it does not unnecessarily punish the player. Finding secrets feels rewarding - it is a small treat for completionists, as it will not take too much of your time but it will make you feel great! Also, the old-school video game music is fun to listen. Buy it and support the developer - for the price of almost $1 when at discount, it is a steal for the charm, humour, gameplay and nostalgia. I hope the Dev makes more of this, as I will definitely support.
This game is a lot of fun. It's a simple retro-feeling puzzle-adventure game (sort of like Pitfall 2, Metroid, etc.), but much more polished, which made it a more enjoyable experience for me. I never got tired of the music, so that made it good in my mind. The option to choose the machine you play the game on was a nice touch. As someone whose appreciation of simple-ish, short-ish has grown in recent years, I consider this to be one of the best games I've finished recently, and I highly recommend it to anyone who's at least partially interested/has any enjoyment of retro-feeling games.
really fun
