About
Terfenstein 3D is a first-person shooter game with a retro style from the early '90s. Consider it a creative iteration mix of Wolfenstein 3D and Doom 1. You will be progressing through seven levels of increasing difficulty and complexity with a set of six classical weapons arsenal and five traditional enemies.
The game offers queer, transgender, and feminist themes of gender-critical people and what a post-war apocalyptic world would look like if gender fascists won. In this dystopian world, fascists have killed and imprisoned all transgender and queer people, subjecting them to harsh conversion therapy, imprisonment, and death. You play as an escapee fleeing their detention center, while you exact your revenge.
This game brings to light the very real transphobic violence many transgender people face for just existing. And draw a comparison between gender critics and nazi Germany.
Developed over four months, this solo project is one of many controversial games the developer has made. Being able to artistically express yourself is a proven way to heal trauma and possibly also move on. This game also hopes to achieve that for players who need it through gameplay that would stir up hidden and muddied emotions.
Please take care of yourself and your loved ones.

Based AF game, would love a longer sequel with more polish!
In Wolfenstein 3D, you kill Nazis; in Terfenstein 3D, you kill transphobes. Considering the huge overlap between those two groups, the premise is basically the same. The game is a bit janky, but still very much playable and fun (not to mention cathartic). The enemies uttering transphobic statements in Norwegian is a very nice touch (especially if you speak Norwegian yourself). P.S.: Til helvete med Riksen!
We must secure the existence of our LGBTQ and a future for white twinks, because the beauty of the White Aryan femboy must not perish from the earth.
This is therapy.
I got hard-locked behind a door in Level 2. Other than that, so far enjoying gender-swap Wolfenstein.
adorable
GOOD GAME BUT NOT BEING ABLE TO SAVE YOUR PROGRESS IN THE GAME ? COULD HAVE BEEN A GREAT GAME
short, but fun :) a lot like the classic shooters
For a cheap af indie game yeah this was hella fun. I've never played the OG Wolfenstein so I'm cautious about making some criticisms as they might just be direct things from the original. That being said having ESC on the pause menu quit the game caused me to restart SEVERAL times and it was frustrating as hell. Honestly my biggest critique of it was the satire didn't go enough. It mostly just looked like a Wolfenstein reskin and that was it? There was much more that could have been put in; turn the dog enemies into grotesque Glinner Cronenbergs, a Mecha-JKR as a final boss ect. Either way for something that's only a couple of quid it was a fun romp and now I desperately want to do a Markiplier and make a whole indie film based on this.
