It's a damn good platformer with awesome music and some decent replayability, at a great price
Excellent controls & fun gameplay
Deserves way more reviews; this game is fun at any skill level, and has an OST id expect from a professional studio.
TEN is a neat little game that shows great promise for being its developer's first game. The game is a bit on the short side - it took me about an hour to complete, with the game consisting of about 80 or 90 total rooms, and then its ending (which, true to the store page, is definitely not what you expect). However, the extra difficulties add a fair amount of replayability; each of the rooms has a uniquely different layout depending on difficulty, and the hard difficulty definitely provides for anyone who finds the base game on the easy side (as I did). From a gameplay standpoint, the controls are razor sharp, though I did feel like some of the tacked-on mechanics, like many of the purchasable abilities, were half-baked. The difficulty curve also needs work; the rooms themselves didn't feel much more difficult at the end than the beginning, and in fact, the acquiring of the aforementioned abilities in some ways made the latter half of the game *easier* than the former. That being said, the level design remained consistently fresh, with each room feeling unique. Gameplay rarely becomes unintuitive or strays too far from the game's core strengths, though there are a few short gimmick sections that don't quite hit the mark. As a side note, the game also features a kickass soundtrack, containing 16 distinct tracks - notable for the game's length. The frantic, industrial metal perfectly captures TEN's fast pace. Overall, if you consider yourself a fan of precision platformers, you will almost certainly enjoy TEN - and with such a small price tag, it's definitely worth a shot. More than anything else, its masterful controls and flow make me excited for what's next from The Bworg.
I have played this game on my pc and console and can say 2 things; 1. It's a wonderfully well put together game comprised beautiful 10 second bursts of chaos and joy. 2. I can not play it to save my life! I'm so bad at platformers, but fortunately because the game has a kick ass soundtrack I can just keep bashing my head against the wall of TEN until i finally knock it down! Can't wait to update with my eventual victory, until then I have given it the 'Best game I suck at' nomination for the steam awards. Well earned...
The game is fun but the hitboxes are too small, i constantly fell off of platforms and missed bombs because of it
Molto bello e stimolante, difficile al punto giusto e mai realmente frustante. consigliato
