fun to waste some time on i have it for 3 systems

❗StatusDid Not Finish

🎮Played OnSteamDeck Only

⏱️Game LengthPut 42.8 hours in before losing interest and stepping away before the end of the main story.

🔄Replay ValueLow for me. The things that made me disengage are baked pretty deep into the design, so I don't see myself returning unless there are significant changes to how leveling and progression feel.

💙Favorites💬 Tem Designs: The creature designs are really cool and one of the main reasons I kept going as long as I did. There is a lot of personality in the roster. 💬 Environment Casting: I liked that the tems you encounter in each environment actually feel like they belong there. It is a small thing but it makes the world feel more considered than a lot of games in this space. 💬 Trading Mechanic: The idea of a player-driven market is neat and fits the MMO structure. In practice I found the market was pretty saturated with strong tems I couldn't afford, but the concept itself is interesting.

🛠️Improvements💭 Progression Balance: Grinding tem levels is a massive time sink and I was always underleveled for whatever came next. The leveling and catching experience never found a fluid rhythm, so it became more of a chore than a game. Easing the curve or giving players more tools to keep pace would make a real difference in whether you stay invested. 💭 Customization and Cash Grabs: The hair and cloth dyeing mechanics are a neat idea, but they fall flat when they turn into an obvious cash grab. Being locked into an awkward-looking character for much of the game because meaningful customization costs real money undercuts what should be a fun way to make your trainer feel like yours. 💭 Dialogue: The writing is not engaging and veers into cringe often enough that it pulled me out of the story regularly. More investment in the script would go a long way toward making players actually care about what is happening.

🎯VerdictI cannot recommend Temtem. The creature designs are cool and there are some actually interesting mechanics here, but the game kept getting in its own way. The leveling grind is relentless, the story never made me want to push through it, the dialogue often made me wince, and the customization system feels like it is more interested in your wallet than your experience. It is a decent Pokemon-style game with some fresh ideas, but in my opinion it needs more polish to be addictive rather than exhausting. If you love the genre and want something with MMO bones, it might scratch an itch, but go in knowing it will ask a lot of your patience.

Excelente si lo que buscas es un "Pokemon" que uedas jugar de forma MMO y con una historia entretenida
A fun monster catcher! I adore the creature designs and the artstyle in general!
The aesthetics are very nice, colorful but not overwhelming. The mechanics are great too, unlike many games in this genre the battle system has no rng (except for captures). No miss chance or crits makes it very strategic. The campaign was frustrating at points but the game is very expansive so you can do side quests if you need a break from the campaign. I would recommend this game to anyone who enjoys creature collectors.
