Was really fun innovative take on the genre. I just really wish they would add Family Sharing to it. Your other Temtem game, Swarm, has family sharing, so why not this?
Riveting gameplay, amazing dialogue, a satisfying ending, oops wrong game review. This game ate my butt and I wish I had herpes because this sucked big donkey doo doo. I played through the game in co-op with my brother who is a bigger creature-collector fan than I am, I've played few, yet I understand the basic design that goes behind them. This game flops so hard it'd be hilarious if he didn't pay full price (I got it on discount). Each of the areas are restricted to maybe 5 - 6 monsters, yet in trainer battles you'll be going up against monsters that cannot be caught until the very end of the game, very frustrating. Most of the move-sets are useless or lacklustre, same can be said about many of the moves for the monsters, then there are the type match-ups as well as "synergies" whereby having a certain type monster in the other slot in combat the move used by the other monster will gain a bonus, neat concept, yet much of the time the bonus didn't outweigh the disadvantage you'll be having by skewing your type match-ups just to boost a single attack. The connectivity and instability of play was also a big problem, the game crashed a lot and we experienced frequent disconnects from their servers. It was a pain. Then couple that with the terrible battle rewards, very little EXP and money is given, and you get such a boring marathon, if I hadn't played this with my brother I would have refunded before 2 hours. If you want a creature collector and want to play it with your friend then save your money, and go get a mod to play Pokemon. Or there is probably a fan-game out there, I doubt it'll take much googling to find one better than this. 3/10, make combat more engaging, fix the crashes, fix the servers, give better rewards for combat and man please remove the "OwO" dialogue, that was beyond cringe.
I'll be completely honest, thought this game would be a bunch of caca as there hadn't ever been news on it in years, so I only bought it as it was on sale for super cheap, like $9 bucks. Turns out, its pretty fun and functional, good controls, fun battle system, the critters have rad designs, and the general graphics are very beautiful. There are some things I'm not too fond of, like how abilities always change every time a Temtem evolves, the absurd levels some need *to* evolve, how it basically forces you into a corner of grinding if you even want a chance to beat the 2nd rival fight, and how limiting some movepools feel for certain Tems. Oh and the fact you get one save file, so you can't explore other starter options without either a full reset, or, if you're insane, a whole ass other console that has it. It makes sense why, being an mmo, but it really limits the game and its lifespan. Maybe one day there will be a single player game in the same world. Bottom line though, Temtem is a decently pleasant game and pretty fun overall, definitely wouldn't hurt to grab. Still, fully recommend you only grab this when it's on sale, as I don't believe it fully lives up to the $44 price tag. 7.5/10 It's good, but not gonna change your life good
Too grindy and I'm constantly getting my ass beat to have to buy more stuff to get my ass beat and repeat. It takes the fun out of it. I tried to play it again so I could have have fun and relax and play the Steam version of Pokemon. I was met with the exact opposite. Shouldn't be stressful, shouldn't have a horrible leveling system outside of the main story, and especially shouldn't have to spend all my in-game money to try to win battles to then lose and lose money to then not be able to afford more supplies to be in a constant loop of losing and getting frustrated. Do yourself a favor and play Nexomon, much better user experience. Can't wait for Nexomon 3!
Honestly this one's on me for not checking gameplay videos on YouTube before buying. I'm very disappointed. Edit: Requested a refund.
Dead game. If you get banned, you can't even play if you deleted your profile and there are no ban appeals. Also, at this point of time because the game is so dead with the upcoming game they're releasing its just hard to find ppl to do endgame content. You get punished for playing endgame content solo.
Boring/grindy combat system + most gay game out there 🤮
Si tu cherches un Pokémon-like plus stratégique, plus long, et plus mature, Temtem vaut clairement le coup. 8/10
Unless you get this game on sale it isn't worth the price point. Personally I don't care for all the inclusiveness but looking past that it's a general Poke'mon game turned into MMO. Granted you can't play single player which is kind of annoying.
