Discounts
Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.
Reviews, worldwide (the counter carries no country): 4.57/day in the week to Aug 15 → 5.71/day in the week after.
For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 23 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 14 places towards #1, and the 2,515 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

Tempest Rising is a love letter to C&C with inspiration from others from the old golden age of RTS, and that tickles the right combination of nerves for me. Like old C&C, the two factions are asymmetrically designed with their own unique gimmicks, both familiar and new-ish, and they both play very well. There's also a third faction on the way, and they look promising as of the public beta. The campaign plays more like Firestorm or Tiberium Wars than Red Alert or Tiberian Sun, with what looks like two sides of a single, over-arching story instead of two separate ones. Overall, highly recommended for both new players interested in the RTS genre and us old folks wishing to see a bit of of that old Tiberian Sun magic again. A word of warning, though: the skirmish AI seems a bit over-tuned. I can handle the Easy AI well enough, but I can't beat the Normal AI without resorting to cheap gimmicks like rushes or infantry spam. Maybe the old C&C AIs were just that lobotomised, or maybe I just got too rusty with age.

Un clasico RTS, me gusto.
Old school C&C!!!!
If you like older style RTS games such as C&C, I would recommend Tempest Rising. Following the campaign completion taking ~55 hours on insane, while some of the gameplay can be repetitive to hit all of the bonus objectives, the story is decent and has me waiting for the expansion. Pros: -Gives the feel of C&C style games -Decent graphics compared to a lot of slop we get these days -2 factions with their own play style -Great story with a twist at the end (imo) -All units seem to have a counter, although in the Campaign you can just mass certain units and complete it. Cons: -As mentioned above once you get the feel for what each mission in the Campaign is asking you, you can essentially mass one unit to counter. -Unit pathing can be frustrating at times - if you leave a small game for units to get by a defense they will sometimes get stuck (had this happen a few times leading to a defeat), as well as harvesters going on an adventure if they run out of harvest and never returning to that tempest field. -I did have a couple game crashes but that seemed to have resolved itself. All in all I had a great time playing through the campaign, next on to multiplayer to complete the achievements
C&C like. i had a blast playing it
