Just... amazing game. I loved Her Story and I definitely loved this one.

Игра очень спорная. Мне понравился сюжет и задумка. История на самом деле многослойная и ее интересно узнавать через поиск видео по наводящим словам, но это только первые пару часов, дальше становится очень нудно и вот причины: 1) Ты всегда находишь только одну сторону диалога, вторую надо найти отдельно. А также их потом нельзя совместить чтобы услышать полный диалог 2) Когда ты находишь видео по наводящему слову, воспроизведение видео начинается как-раз с этого слова, которое может быть в середине или конце видео. При этом нет кнопки "начать просмотр сначала", приходится перематывать 3) Перемотка видео очень неудобная, будто отматываешь кассету вперед-назад. Если бы была полоска продолжительности, как на любом видео-хостинге, было бы намного удобнее. При этом при перемотке не проигрывается звук 4) Нельзя настроить скорость проигрывания видео 5) Поскольку большинство видео это звонки-диалоги с двух сторон, то выходит так, что половину видео персонаж просто сидит и молчит (слушает собеседника) - есть пару видео на которых ВООБЩЕ ничего не происходит В игре хоть и есть баги, но они не сильно мешают геймплэю. Если говорить о баге, когда стим не выдает ачивки - у меня такого не было, хотя многие на это жаловались (мне повезло наверное). Считаю что игру стоит покупать только по большой скидке и только есть вы любите детективы.

After playing "Her Story", I decided to give this one a try and I'm glad I did. The production is miles better - I liked "Her Story", don't get me wrong, but the video and the general feel are much more professional in this one. The actors are good and the story is interesting. It's a more complex and longer game, which does make it a bit more difficult to finish in one go, and I think this detracts from the experience, because I see this as kind of an interactive film. I think there should be a way to rewind videos to the beginning with a button - having to do it manually feels clunky. And I think that the game, in general, could have been more streamlined and the fragments should have been shorter. I get what the author is trying to do - having to search for the truth hidden in the middle of sometimes irrelevant material feels like being an actual detective. But still, a bit too much. Despite these small shortcomings, I absolutely recommend this - especially to play with a friend or your significant other. It's fun to look for the pieces of the puzzle.

傑作『Her Story』の作者、Sam Barlow氏が手がけた映像探索型アドベンチャーの第2作。 ある男と、その周囲を取り巻く人々とのビデオ通話映像を検索し、会話の中で気になった単語を手がかりに別の映像へと遡りながら、事件の全容に迫っていく。 Sam Barlow氏の作品の中でもやや厳しい評価を受けがちな一本です。 実際、前作にあった早送り機能は撤廃されています。 また、ビデオ通話の映像では会話している二人のうち片方しか表示されないため、映っている人物が黙って相手の話を聞いている場面では、どうしても冗長な間が発生します。 前作では数十秒から1〜2分程度の短い映像が中心でしたが、本作では5分を超える長い映像も珍しくありません。 全体的にテンポは悪く、正直、退屈に感じる時間も多かったです。 ストーリーそのものも、前作と比べると強く惹きつけられる内容とは言い難いです。 事件に大きな隠された真実があるわけではなく、映像を追うごとにおおむね想像どおりの出来事が起こり、そのまま想像どおりの結末へと収束していきます。 中心人物もやや周囲に流されがちな性格で、個人的にはあまり魅力を感じられませんでした。 前作には、断片的な映像と描かれていない部分から真相を推測する楽しさがありました。 しかし本作は、映像を時系列どおりに並べ直すことが主目的になりやすく、コンテキストを読み解く推理という点では弱くなっています。 そのため、長い映像を追い続けるためのモチベーションも維持しづらく感じました。 また、内容は少々アダルティです。 そうした描写が苦手な方は、少し驚くかもしれません。 ここまで不満を並べましたが、自分はなぜか最後までかなり熱中し、全映像を回収してしまいました。 なぜそこまで遊び続けたのか、自分でもはっきりとは分かりません。 ただ、登場人物が大幅に増えたことで生まれた、「会話を組み立てていく楽しさ」が大きかったのだと思います。 この映像の会話相手は誰なのか。どの映像とどの映像がつながり、会話はどの順番で交わされていたのか。 そうした断片を自分の中で組み直していく過程には、物語の内部へ入り込み、自分もその一員になったような没入感がありました。 この感覚は、やはり洗練された映像検索システムがあってこそのものなのでしょう。 退屈な間が多いとは書きましたが、その沈黙を演技だけで成立させている俳優陣は本当にすごいと思います。 台詞を発さず、ただ相手の話を聞いているふりをするだけで長い間を持たせる。その演技力には素直に感心しました。

It's just like Her Story but worse and like 3 times longer. Still pretty good if you are up to skipping parts where actors just don't say anything because the other part is talking.

I did not enjoy the "game" part of this, but on a discount it's worth it to watch the story while browsing the actual game files. The UI is not aware enough of the game it's for. Most of the videos you're supposed to find are two sides of a videocall, but the game has no way of playing both at once. There's also the issue of fast forwarding and rewinding being very limited instead of the more standard video slider.

Fun game, interesting story. Would be more fun if there was a "skip to start" button for the longer videos clips. And it would also be great to be able to play two videos of the same conversation side by side, maybe through another app on the computer. Worth it to play!

MI ha un po' deluso. Avevo apprezzato molto Her Story e mi aspettavo molto da questo nuovo gioco. Alla fine la storia gira, ma la ricostruzione delle vicende e' molto piu' complicata e alcuni filmati davvero lunghi e noiosi da vedere (ma obbligatori se non si vuole perdere indizi). Il finale poi lascia molto l'amare in bocca e da poca soddisfazione. Un bel gioco ma nulla piu
