Definitely a must-buy. Hard to put my finger on the reason why. Calm, kind, affirming. Super pleasant. There are pets and farm animals that love you when you pet them. Some awesome, scary moments that turn out to be all right. As if the game itself is petting *you.* Does that make sense?
Great game to sit and stream. I like to memorialize my past furbabys in the game the headstones are great for that but I kinda hope he will add a way to use your pets photos in the game .
Get ready for ultimate coziness! I've never met a cozier game than Teddy's Haven. It's such a delightful game; I can't recommend it enough. I've had it long enough to experience a few significant updates and the developer is constantly working on the game and engaging with the community to make it better (which is wild since it was already so good when I started playing it). As a store sim, this game has everything I want and even things I didn't know I wanted. The products are fabulous, and getting to collect sellable items from the world and then craft them is so much fun. I love exploring the beautiful world. This game is beautiful and so fun.
Teddy’s Haven is a genuinely unique experience. I could describe it as a cozy shopkeeping game, but that would barely do it justice; the only way to really describe it is as a warm hug in game form. While you do serve as a shopkeeper in a fantasy world, there is no pressure, no active passage of time while exploring, and there are no obligations; you’re free to explore, harvest, discover secrets, and sell whatever you feel like putting on your shelves. The progression is nicely paced, with many unlockable upgrades for your shop and hirable assistants to help you run your cozy little business. There are interesting seasonal crops you can forage and process into new items for stocking your shop, and all manner of cool stuff to find and skills to level. There are also a lot of interesting and sometimes funny customers who will visit your shop. How you play it is entirely up to you; I find it to be a great game for relaxing and having a meditative gameplay experience, and I actively enjoy discovering new items and tracking profits with a spreadsheet, but there’s also zero obligation to do that, as the game gives you the market price and profit margin for everything automatically (and these values don’t change at random). If you’ve ever wanted to hop on an MMO or farming sim just to spend some time harvesting and relaxing, this is 100% the game for you. As for the early access angle, development is very active, with weekly free updates and a great Discord community. The amount of love the developer has poured into the game shows; ideas and feedback actually mean something here, and watching the game grow rapidly over time has been a delight. If a cozy meditative experience is something you’ve been looking for, this is currently one of the best places to find it, and I highly recommend giving it a try, especially while it’s at such a great early adopter price.
An incredilbly chill game with beautifully done graphics and scenery. Expand your shop and decorate it the way you want. Lots of creatures to tend to and an incredible amount of stuff to sell to all your customers. Can't wait to see what else they add to this game!
I am OBSESSED with this game! I played the demo and was so distraught when it was over that I IMMEDIATELY purchased the game. This game is fantastical and beautifully designed. You really feel the love that was poured into this game when you play. Every time I play, and I've played HOURS and HOURS and HOURS, I always find something new with the world. The NPCs are so CUTE! And titan like beasts show up, who just want your medieval mall to prosper. And OMG the designing the shop aspect is amazing fun. Scaling items and the wealth of items you get, really give you an ability to make your shop your own. I absolutely love how immersed I get in designing my store. AND you're not even limited to just the building! You can make an outdoor market! Speaking of which, I need to run off and make my necromancer's shop.
A game I can't stop coming back to. Teddy's Haven has proven to be addictive despite being an EA game. There is literally so much to do, and first exploring the map was so much fun and before I basically automated farming everything, I spent so long manually mining/tending/foraging EVERYTHING (even when you seriously dont HAVE to) just because levelling up felt rewarding and grabbing everything meant I can craft and sell even more things. I love that customer's don't get mad when you're missing items on the shelf, they literally just walk in and go around buying what they want without complaining if you don't have everything on the list. This is great because I've played games before in which you unlock new items and the customers instantly complain if they're not on the shelves because somehow they magically know you've got access to it. So, I don't stock all the cheaper stuff and focus on stocking more expensive things (i still have a good collection of stuff on the shelves). Teddy's Haven embodies cozy! Starting a new day means the possibility of a random (LARGE) creature spawning on the map you can talk to for some helpful buffs. They kinda scare me just because of their sheer size but at the same it's cool as hell, the devs really take advantage of the magical world and its possibilities. There are also magical creatures to hire and pay that help restock/man registers AND the customers aren't just limited to humans as well! Time doesn't pass until you decide to open the store and then you can spend however long you want when the store closes to do more things of your choosing as well. A lot of things require skill that when levelled up grants speed and increasing multipliers for like.. everything, it's great and everything just becomes faster the higher it is. Decorating and rearranging the store is easy and after seeing what the community can do with the decor already included, you can make some really aesthetically pleasing shop floors. I LOVE LOVE LOVE that you can place shelves outdoors and customers go out in the sunshine/storm/rain to grab the produce I stock on the porch. I've spent hours on this game and haven't unlocked everything yet which I think it's crazy since again, it's EA! It's not boring and it's super cool unlocking and growing new products so I can colour code my shelves. I was obsessively creating what seemed like endless amounts of different flavoured jams and buzzes every single day and even now I'm stocking new aether-infused produce (potatoes, carrots, gourds + other magical looking vegetables). THERE'S FISHING! I'm pretty sure it's fairly new and more features will be added for it so I'm looking forward to it being more engaging (the fishing itself - the FISH are gorgeous on display in the aquariums, and super lucrative). A big plus in my opinion is that devs don't slack when it comes to improving QOL. Sure you can add more features for a cool start but everything becomes SO fun and accessible with some good shortcut keys so that things don't drag along and managing your store feels so much easier with the most recent crate update. Highly recommend this game, I'm excited for where it's heading and all its possibilities. WORTH the money.
Teddy's Haven is a blast. The world keeps feeling fuller with each update and the revamp of the wall system lets players feel MUCH more autonomous in their design choices! This is an obvious labor of love and I can't wait to see the final product.
This game is amazing. I love the cozy and safe feelings of this game. It is nice to play a game where nothing bad is going to happen and I can simply relax. The ability to memorilize people is heartwarming and has brought me comfort, especially from lost pets.
Teddy's Haven hits all the sweet spots for me. It's whimsical, magical, cozy, and just so relaxing to play. The game mechanics are easy to learn, and before you know it, you've lost yourself for hours. Then you look at the clock, close the game for the night, and realize you actually feel relaxed instead of stressed. One thing I absolutely love is how much thought went into the little details. Want a mount? You have four to choose from right from the start. You don't have to spend hours saving up money or grinding just to unlock one. Nope, they're there for you to use from day one. Another thing I really appreciate is how the game never makes you feel rushed. You can spend hours running around harvesting materials, exploring, or just enjoying the world, and time never moves forward. You're never racing against the clock trying to gather one last item before dark or worrying about missing the chance to open your shop. Time only starts moving once you open your shop, and it naturally goes from day to night while you're serving customers. When your shop closes, it stays nighttime until you decide to go to bed and start the next day. I love that because it lets you play completely at your own pace. As someone who has never really enjoyed harvesting or grinding in games, I honestly can't believe how much I enjoy it in Teddy's Haven. Instead of feeling like a chore, it's actually relaxing. I'll head out planning to collect just a few things, and before I know it, I've spent an hour happily wandering around gathering supplies. Crafting is another feature I think they absolutely nailed. Instead of standing at a crafting station feeding materials into it one piece at a time and waiting for everything to finish, you simply put the materials into the correct crafting stations before bed. The next morning, everything is crafted and waiting in your bag. It's such a simple idea, but it keeps you out exploring and enjoying the game instead of standing around watching progress bars. Another little feature I love is how easy it is to get back home. Even if I've wandered halfway across the map, I don't have to spend forever running back. Just hit Escape, click Teleport Home, and you're back instantly. It's another one of those little quality-of-life features that shows the developers really thought about making the game relaxing instead of frustrating. There are so many little touches like that throughout the game. On their own they may seem small, but together they make the whole experience feel cozy, thoughtful, and respectful of your time. Teddy's Haven has quickly become one of those games where I can sit down thinking I'll play for an hour, and suddenly it's been three or four. If you're looking for a cozy, relaxing game that lets you play at your own pace without constantly feeling rushed, I honestly can't recommend it enough.
