OVERALL (4/10)
ART (6/10) Pros: The art of the players and the enemies were good. I also liked the art of the Candy Cane Jane bossfight background. Cons: The art was inconsistent as hell. The art does not have the same art style the whole time and you can tell that some of the art was made by a different person. Some of the art was overall just bad and could use some real improvement. GAMEPLAY (4/10) Pros: Character movement was decent. It was a little finicky some of the time but it worked okay. The enemies were good too when they were positioned well. Cons: A lot of precise movement was hard to control and became annoying fast. Character movement was buggy on slopes, sometimes you would be jittering around and the slopes made you move down way too fast. The one annoying part of the game by far was Candy Cane Jane. There was way too much stuff happening on screen and things were coming too fast for me to react. The randomness of the stage made predicting where to move hard when you have to focus on when and where Candy Cane Jane attacks. In addition, you can’t switch lanes while moving. MUSIC (5/10) Pros: Some of the tracks were actually good! I liked the Synth City song, the Candy Lane song, and the menu song were good. I liked the rhythm and the tone they brought to the game. Cons: Some songs were okay and others were inconsistent to the feel of where you are. I think the music is going in the right direction but some parts just feel a little off. SOUNDS (5/10) Pros: The sounds are serviceable and not distracting. Cons: It’s clear that not much thought went into the sound design. The sounds are pretty generic. LEVEL DESIGN (5/10) Pros: Some of the levels were fairly creative. I liked the boosters in some of the levels as well as the level where you have to jump over enemies. The level where you have to kill 6 enemies in a minute was also fairly cool. Cons: Some of the levels though were frustrating. The main one I am talking about is the final level in synth city. There is basically no difficulty curve as the stages felt relatively the same in difficulty with a few spikes in between. Overall the stages were mediocre at best and terrible at worst. STORY (1/10) Pros: There are no pros. Cons: The game’s story seemed more about the developer being upset about his other game doing poorly and his new game feels like a response to that. The worlds that you travel to feel very random which is okay to some degree because some platformers that have you adventure are just like that, but with this game it feels very random. The cutscene from the beginning puts a foul taste in your mouth which makes it a little less enjoyable to play. At the time of writing, there’s no conclusion to the story. You beat the final level (in which it’s not made clear at all that you are nearing the end of the game) and then the credits roll. POLISH (2/10) Pros: I liked the effects for the sword and the enemies dying. It looked cool and I would say it definitely added some more interesting visual elements to the game. Cons: On the current patch, you can’t beat the game without editing your save file. This is unacceptable, especially from a game that’s on a post-release version. The jank in the game definitely shows the rough edges which could be fixed. Things I already mentioned like an inconsistent art style, weird visual bugs, and other oddities bring this down for me personally. Also there is no menu! The only way to close the game is by pressing alt+f4 or by closing the window. And just to get back to the level select you have to fully close the game, reopen it, and go to the level select. This is just annoying when you want to play a stage but you select the wrong one or you beat it and it brings you to the next one. Also when you beat a stage you have already beaten, it updates your save to the stage you go to after the stage you just beat, making you lose your progress.
Great game! The movement is a bit awkward at the start but after playing some time you get used to it. Synth city was my favourite area lol. I also really liked the last level of candy lane, there's just something in me that likes when things are fast. I kinda wish the game was longer.

The best game ive ever played, encountered zero bugs at any point, i would sell my first born to human trafficking to have the rest of the game finished, also im sorry i attacked Jerry, i had to get the achievement. I will do everything in my power to make this the biggest game. Go watch my review video, @DiscBro on yt, for developer u can see and balance out some of the bugs. Part two will come soon
The game is great, and I'm not just saying that because I'm working on it as well. Nice
- Very nostalgic but modern looking art style - Fluid platforming - Great 8/16 BIT music - Fun and action packed boss fights Overall, a very well made platformer in my book!

10/10 can't wait for the game to be finished. I loved the first game and this sequel did not disappoint Also plz go back to the old system of multiplayer or just something that isn't Steam Remote Play. Watch me and my friends play through @DiscBro on YouTube. Best 3 Dollars I've ever spent.
良くも悪くも最高です! バグすらも楽しめる強靭な心が試される!
