С этого и началась еще легендарней игра Team Fortress 2!
Team Fortress Classic (TFC): A Review of its Current State (July 2026) If you are looking to jump into Team Fortress Classic today, you aren't just booting up a game—you are stepping into a digital museum. As of July 2026, the game exists in a state of "venerable relic," kept alive by a dedicated, albeit tiny, core of veterans. The "State of the Union" * Player Base: The game is effectively a niche hobbyist project. Average concurrent player counts hover around 45–50 players, with peak daily numbers rarely crossing the 125–130 mark. You will find matches, but they are often hosted on community servers where the regulars know every pixel of the map. * The "Classic" Feel: It is raw. The GoldSrc engine physics, the movement speed, and the grenade-heavy gameplay feel archaic compared to modern shooters. It lacks the polish, matchmaking, and quality-of-life features we expect today. * Competition: Do not confuse this with Team Fortress 2 or the recently released (January 2026) Team Fortress 2 Classified. If you are looking for a modern-feeling experience with a large population, TFC is not where you will find it. Why You Might Still Play * Historical Significance: You are playing the direct ancestor of the class-based shooter genre. It is fascinating to see the roots of the Medic, Spy, and Engineer mechanics in their most brutal, unrefined forms. * The "High Floor" Difficulty: There is no hand-holding. The skill gap is massive. If you enjoy the challenge of learning a game where veteran players have been active for over two decades, the experience is unmatched. * Low Barrier to Entry: It is inexpensive and runs on literally anything. If you have a laptop that can turn on, you can run TFC. The Verdict: Is it worth your time? No, not as a main game. If you are looking for a competitive shooter to sink hours into, TFC will likely frustrate you with its age and sparse population. Yes, as a historical curiosity. If you are interested in the evolution of FPS design or just want to experience the "Old Guard" of online gaming, it remains a masterpiece of a bygone era.

If you're a TF2 player, don't come in to this game expecting/hoping for a TF2 like experience. This game and TF2 share very little in common. With that out of the way, Team Fortress Classic (TFC) is a really fun experience. If you're looking for a shooter with heavy emphasis on teamwork, distinct class roles, and a high skill ceiling, TFC might be just what you're looking for! This game may be approaching 3 decades old, but it still holds up incredibly well, even for newcomers such as myself. The dedicated community still playing this game and other older Team Fortress versions is, from my experience, chill and welcoming (of course, there are always bad eggs). If you're looking for someone to play with, add my Steam and my discord (my discord ID is the same as my Steam name) and lets play some games!

Чисто копия кс 1 и 6 с какими-то персонажами, на любителя
Team Fortress Classic is a pretty good game. Each class is equally fun to play as, and I like how the different classes work. However, too many of the weapons are repeated across classes, which makes only a few weapons feel unique. Other than that, it's pretty good. 8/10.
