Team Fortress 2

Almost 10 years since a MAJOR update. btw this is the game that makes Valve's profits, so for them to neglect TF2 for this long is a slap in the face for the entire fanbase. I would still recommend TF2 to any person at any time, but the way Valve has treated their most loved game is a heartless act on their part.

playing this game as a beginner makes me want to end it all. don't bother You'll just get your ass blasted by guys with 10 billion kills and a trillion hours of playtime because everyone you encounter will have been playing for years at this point. Finding new weapons is ass and it's all random so there's 0 guarantee that you'll get something you want. God forbid you poke your head out from a wall, because you sure as hell will die instantly and get sent back to spawn after 20 seconds of waiting, just for it all to happen again. As a beginner, you have to constantly rely on your team being better than the enemy just so you can secure the win, because everything you do will get you killed and you'll get vote kicked for standing still for 2 seconds by the guy blasting music through his microphone. if you're defending anything, you lose instantly. pretty much. there are never, EVER any other beginners with you; you're with the guys who invest all their time into this game and never do so much as leave their room to take a shower. so much for "casual" matchmaking.

I don't hate TF2, I want it to be better. The game doesn't get proper updates. All new content is made by the community meaning Valve doesn't put any effort into one of their most well known games but still make money in spite of that. The new maps bloat the game, increasing the file size only to be nearly abandoned two weeks after release. Quickplay was better.

I downloaded this expecting an old shooter. Instead, I found one of the funniest multiplayer games I've ever played. One second you're pushing the objective. The next, a Spy you've trusted for the last 30 seconds politely introduces you to his knife. Every class has so much personality that you end up picking favorites for reasons that have nothing to do with the meta. The game doesn't take itself too seriously, and somehow that's exactly why it has lasted for so long. Sure, it's old. So is chess. If a game is still making people laugh, rage, and queue for "one more match" after all these years, it's doing something right. I finally understand why people never stopped talking about TF2. Recommended.

Words will forever fail to captivate the love I've grown and have for this game. I regret not playing it sooner or even discovering its existence but I'm more than ever grateful to be playing it now. The voicelines, mercenaries, comics, lore, fan art, the unpredictable scenarios and people you receive in each match, the source filmmakers, soundtracks, intros, the degenerates, the stupid arguments, not to forget the memories and people I've met. This game has brung out the worst and best of me, other games will never manage to obliviate the amusement I've had on this pastime, and no game will ever manage to attain the appetitious impatience and ecstasy of me rushing back home just to hop on it. Whenever I needed a distraction, it was there for me. After a horrible day? There to pat my back. Whenever I've felt lonely? There to spoon and cuddle me in bed. Maybe throw in a kiss too. Even after losing a match, or winning, I cannot be toxic after them. This game has altered me in the most positive ways, to such an extent that I may as well receive withdrawals from not engaging in it after a month. I am outright enamored with everything this game has to offer and bestow you with. Not to mention, the countless references the game has had in others? Unsurpassed. The character classes and the characters themselves captivate me. I also wanted to mention how much I love Medic and Engineer. Team Fortress 2 will always have a special place in my heart, masterfully made, with its diversity and community. Yes, there may be bad sides to it. But in the end why waste your time focusing on the negative? When you could be playing payload in exchange, casting a votekick, or simply switching matches. I will always remember the guffaws and cackles I’ve let out on each inconvenience and flunks I’ve made. I heavily, immensely recommend this game to anyone, especially those who are new to the shooter genre. My first ever shooter game. Altogether, I really love this game, and I hope that my craze will persist indefinitely. :)

Basically impossible to play, no character really works for you unless you have prior experience. The game itself felt inconsistent with the damage, its either you get a health shattering crit or you're hitting the enemy with the equivalence of a squirt gun without the water. I understand that games are different for everyone so take it with a grain of salt. I've played this game since I was 11 and I still have trouble with this game but others might be prime faze levels of good with this game. The player base is also hit or miss, when it comes to the players its either: 1. Super cool guy who doesn't care abt the game and is fun to mess around with. 2. Some really toxic chud with no life who has 1k hours 3: A hacker or 4: Adolf Hitler's personal hype man who absolutely loves talking abt rape and acts like a pedophile Overall good game but extremely difficult to play.
