About
Tattuga Bay was once the heart of the tattoo scene, but almost all parlors are closed today. You take over the last remaining tattoo shop and turn it into a flourishing business, making friends or enemies with other local characters, from weird customers and troubled tattoo artists to the city’s most influential businessman, simply called “the Tycoon.”

Order furniture from INKEA and make your rooms look fresh to lure in more customers. Talk to them to find out what they really like and what to avoid. Only then can you offer them a tattoo design they cannot refuse.
You’ll need a steady hand to get ink into skin and not hurt your customers (too much) in the process. Beauty is pain, but the happier they are with your work, the bigger the tip.
Time is money. You decide when to open and close your shop and how to spend your limited time and energy to meet the new challenges of each new day.
Practice your skills and styles, hire new employees, and manage the day-to-day life of a tattoo artist.
Everyone has their own interests. You’ll need a wide range of tattoos, decorations, and related products like skincare, t-shirts, and posters. People might also want coffee, a cool drink, some snacks, and comfortable seating while waiting for their turn to get a tattoo.
To help you manage your ever-expanding customer base, you must assemble a capable team of specialists who can cover the different steps when working with a customer.
You design and play your own character in Tattoo Tycoon and form personal relationships with the people around you. Learn about their issues and help them to earn their trust.
While you can start marketing campaigns to promote your art, personal connections, and word-of-mouth are as essential to getting famous in the tattoo world. And only the most famous artists can enter the most prestigious tattoo competition: Ink-Vasion!

Looks great, and i was really wanting to get into this game, However tattooing just Two lines & the tattoo is then complete seemed to little. Would seem you can't even colour the tattoos in either. This made the games price seem to much and a waste. So i refunded this.
Price point may scare some people off but personally I really like this game! But yes, I believe the 2 DLC's should have just been included with the base game. Graphics remind me of a blend between Nintendo's Mii's and Two Point. They are very charming. Your character is completely customizable from facial features to hair, clothing and accessories. More goodies unlock as you progress in the game! The Tattoo Parlor is your oyster as you decorate, furnish and tidy up to heart's content. Objects you place can actually be interacted with by your character which add for a lively world! Same as for the cosmetics; new objects become available with progress. But they still need to be unlocked with 'inspiration' points. (More on that later) The tattoo loop goes as following: You consult with your client about their interests/dislikes/preferred tattoo style and suggest a stencil. If the consultation goes well: once at the tattooing chair you can look together for a perfect placement (higher pain levels give more $$$ but are more difficult). After choosing a position for the stencil a tattooing mini-game pops up where you have to stay as close as possible to the blue line and collect 'stars' (aka inspiration points) along the way. It doesn't have to be perfect, as long as you don't see too many ' X ' on your screen and keep your clients pain levels in check, some have a higher tolerance than others. After completion the client will show off the work you put on their bodies. If you made too many mistakes you won't get paid. I have to say the first time doing the mini-game was a bit uneasy but you really grow into it and it stars getting easier, just don't give up! It's handy to know you don't have to do the ENTIRE tattoo but just a couple of lines here and there until it completes itself. If the tattoo mini-game is not your cup of tea you can skip it entirely and choose for auto-tattoo. Next to cash you receive a special currency called 'inspiration points' which are used to unlock various options in the game. Furniture, stencils, booster packs and a whole array of skills in different categories, depending on what you'd like to train first! If your business is booming, you can rely on hiring staff members, each with their own special talents! So you can let someone else do the consults and/or tattooing for you so you can focus on other things. During your day you have random events happening and challenges you can accept. Story and characters are fun so far. My only complaint is that there is a bug during dialogue where some of lines get skipped. I hope this review helps to paint a better picture of the game and will help people with their decision about buying. For me, this one's a bop! ᡣ𐭩
I wanted to love it, ended up hating it.
First thing every single NPC , looks like a non binary or transgender individual. (No offense to those.) But is like a normal female or male don't exist in this game and that is a no for me. If you're tattooing manually, the mini game makes little sense, doesn't matter if it says easy or hard it will always be hard and I think is an issue of the gameplay. Basically the difficulty only changes the customers pain sensibility and if you choose the tattooing automatically feature it doesn't guarantee success or a happy customer even when choosing the correct tattoo based on what they like. I honestly believed the game had great potential but the things listed above killed my enjoyment.
This game looked super fun, and I love simulator games, so I was super excited when it went on sale after being in my wishlist for awhile... but I really did not like this at all, and wish I had read through the comment section first before I bought it. Would have saved myself the money and time. The gameplay is odd, the tattooing is weird and not at all enjoyable, even when you do well you don't feel as though you accomplished anything by drawing a couple of weird lines and calling it a day. I could rush through it and do a crappy job and get the same kind of reaction. For the price that it is (and I got it on sale) it is not worth it. Unless there's some kind of difference in gameplay after the 2 hour mark that I've just not hit yet, but I doubt I'm going to give this any additional time. Maybe if I'm super bored one day. Lol.
The Tattoo mini game is literally impossible
You for real aren't able to create a hetero male character in this game, no kidding.
Too much microamanagement and minigames. Just boring and not fun at all. 3/10.
Tattoo Tycoon is a great tycoon game with a story and optional goals for each in-game day. There is also a mini-game for placing tattoos. No miserable achievements and completion takes around 40h. Approximate time to 100%: My guess is around 40 hours or so Estimated achievement difficulty: 3/10 Minimum number of playthroughs needed: 1 Is there a good guide available: You don't need a guide Multiplayer achievements: No Missable achievements: No, but you want to start early on with manually tattoo customers Grinding Achievements: No DLC-Only achievements: No Speedrun achievements: No Time-gated achievements: No RNG-achievements: No Does difficulty affect achievements: No difficulty setting Unobtainable/glitched achievements: No Gamepad or mouse and keyboard: I preferred to play with a mouse and keyboard I was pleasantly surprised by how much story there is in Tattoo Tycoon. Most Tycoon games don't have a story at all, and while you can ignore the story here, I'm glad it is there! I noticed the game first because of the cute art style, but stayed for the story and how much fun it is! You start with a small business where you do everything yourself, consulting as well as placing the tattoos. However, soon you'll be able to hire people to help you out. You get tasks to level up your shop and when you reach 2 out of 3 stars you can move on to the next shop where you'll discover new tattoo designs and get new challenges and more story moments. I love the management in this game, being able to have people working in the store and even having the main character kinda do some tasks without much of your input if you want to. I also love where the story went to, at first it seems shallow but it gets more depth later on. What I love the most is the quests, small checklists to work toward to increase your store level and with that also how many people will visit your business. You have an overall quests to increase your store level, as well as short daily quests to strive toward. The tattoo mini game takes a bit of time to get used to. I highly recommend first setting tattoos manually on "easy" spots only. To get used to it. And focus on staying on the line or on speed, not on both at the same time. You'll get better at it and be able to do well on both parts. I was totally fine using my trackball mouse to set the tattoos, but I heard from my friend Tchii that she preferred using a gamepad. This might be different per person or a difference between a normal mouse and a trackball. I struggled a bit with keeping up with the store. I love that you were able to add all kinds of extra selling items to your store, but keeping them in stock was a struggle. When you have one of your staff members not assigned to a spot, it will clean up trash cans and dirty spots on the floor, but sadly, it will not restock the vending machines and other sellable items. Achievement-wise, none of the achievements are missable. You can just focus on the main quests and move on to the next store location after reaching 2 stars. To be able to unlock the last location you have to consult and place 10 legendary tattoos manually. This seems to be a bug as it says "manually set 10 legendary tattoos," but for now, it is also required to be the one who consult the customer and not letting your staff members do this. I haven't finished the story yet, as I'm struggling with the last location, in which you have only 1 day to complete a bunch of quests. It feels like the difficulty level went up a lot in this last challenge, which makes sense for the story but after like 15 tries I still haven;t been able to successful pass that event. I give Tattoo Tycoon 4 out of 5 stars.
Do you enjoy games that don't have missable achievements?
