Tanzia is a charming little game that reminds me of old-school WoW, in a good way. The world design is colourful and fantastical, and feels like a really inviting place to play around in. It's a very low-pressure, relaxed sort of game in terms of its overall vibe, even though there are definitely encounters where you need to think carefully; some enemies have hard immunities or require specific countering strategies, and once you've figured them out they suddenly become a lot easier, which is a nice feeling. The story is simplistic but friendly and inviting. Overall - if you enjoy wandering around a lush, pretty world doing simple chores for people and occasionally getting into fights with a variety of monsters, definitely give this a go. It's not perfect, but I'm still impressed by the polish overall. The controls are pretty good except for the jump-attack, which feels weirdly floating and imprecise despite also being the best attack by far. The opening 10-minute comicbook cutscene was unbelievably long, but by the end of the game I kind of liked the little comicbook interludes as a way of delivering backstory. The UI sometimes doesn't communicate a few things, like what a character's name is (unless you target them), but you get used to it pretty quick as the information that's missing turns out not to be very critical. I recommend using the "MMO" control scheme - it's very comfortable to use and works quite well.
Very fun game. Major problem with the game though it's that it is way to short. Took 7 hours to beat and that is as a new player. Max level is only 12. I'm wondering where the rest of the game is. I want to give the game a 5 star but the short play down grades it to a 3 star. I would recommend this game because it is a great game even though it's way to short. Hopefully they add a lot more content to this game. I would willing to pay more if they added a lot more.
well didnt even play it. its made for a pet computer. no options to make it wide screen... wth are you guys making this on?
The game itself is not bad BUT DO NOT PAY FULL PRICE as it is short and it is over before it starts. I honestly can't recommend it.
Overall, I am really excited for the game. Its fun, the characters are interesting, and the devs really paid attention to detail with some of the animations. The game has serious potential, and will be available on the Nintendo Switch and Steam when it is released! Full review: https://www.ruffireviews.com/post/178181673904/ruffireviews-tanzia-beta
This game is a fun RPG with a quirky, touching story and well-balanced difficulty. It's accessible to a casual gamer, but difficult enough to present a challenge as well. The story was surprisingly complex, following one family's story over several generations. As the protagonist, you must discover your family's secret, master the forgotten art of Arcanity, and save your family and your tribe. Good luck!
Controls are bad. This game is nicely built patterned after PS1-games like Spyro, Megaman, etc. But they had intuitive controls. Therefore, in this game, poor and hard to manage controls are unforgivable.
Tanzia is an MMORPG. With a story about a fantastical world full of strange creatures. The story and voice acting are big pluses. Seems like there is a lot of stuff you can do in this adventure. https://youtu.be/X6o8PWE4gO4
