Prices
Each in the currency that store quoted — not converted: the gap between two rows is the publisher's pricing, not an exchange rate.
Charts
Each storefront's own chart, in its own country — the closest public signal to sales where none is published. A country missing from a list is one we don't collect there, not one where the game doesn't chart.
No United States chart position — it charts only in the markets below.
Discounts
Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.

Game starts to crash constantly once you make it to Autumn, so you won't be able to get a refund because the limit is 2hrs of played game time. So by the time you realize this game is bad, its too late. DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY!!
A truly cosy game. Tales of The Shire is about slowing down and enjoying the little things. Skip around Bywater, make friends with the village people, and invite them over for tea. You can tend your own garden and explore the woodlands, foraging for berries and mushrooms for your new recipes. You can leisurely make your way through the seasons, discovering new species of fruit and fish. This is not a task-completing machine like many other cosy games out there (though I did take the extra time needed to get all the achievements, it was not difficult to do so). This is truly a place to stop and relax. I wouldn’t recommend this game if you like having lots to do all the time. I recommend it if you’re ready to just enjoy the experience.

For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 26 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 7 places towards #1, and the 2,402 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

I wanted to like this game, I really did. It sounded so perfect. A cozy LOTR game where you play as a hobbit? It's a dream. Sadly this game does not deliver. This is not to say I hate everything about it. I think this game is very charming and has some good aspects. There's clearly something here that could become great with more time and updates. I like the style of it, I think it's very cute. Although, I do wish the character customization was better and more varied. It is very limited and the options aren't that interesting. Now I know hobbits aren't exactly known for being rugged and manly, but there are npcs who have pretty dope sideburns I wish I could have. Also the really dark eyelashes makes everything look so "yassified" but overall, I think it looks very nice and cute and fitting for a cozy game. I like the npcs, as one dimensional as they can be they're still very charming and getting to know them feels nice enough to make me wanna invite them for more shared meals. There are little details that show that clearly some thought was put into this world, mentions to lore established LOTR characters, and the game does a good job at making you feel like this is what life in the Shire is like. It has certainly gotten many "awwww"s out of me. However; Like many reviews said, this game runs poorly and needs optimization BADLY! (Yes, I mostly played on the steam deck so you can argue that the machine is not strong enough for this game. The game runs fine for the most part UNTIL you hit the town square then it runs like crap. Problem is... You WILL be coming to this area often. It's literally the center and has all the shops you need.) The game lacks content. I think the most disappointing aspect to me is that this game is just not very interesting. The story quests are mostly fetch quests and fetch quests, some cooking, and more fetch quests. Go here, talk to this hobbit, go there, talk to that hobbit. Give them this, take this and give it to that hobbit. Most of what you'll be doing is running around this map talking to hobbits. It's not very fun. Later on you do start to have club quests that encourage doing other activities like foraging, cooking, fishing, and gardening and those help you unlock things like more inventory space, better fishing rods, etc. however all these activities are shallow and not very interesting. I really wish there was more interesting stuff to do. Speaking of these clubs, they'll sometimes ask you to gather stuff with a specific star quality and if you're foraging, man.... You'll be foraging for a WHILE which is annoying considering that what spawns depends on the season. The drop rate for anything above one star is trashy you'll be foraging every day hoping to get 2-3 stars, wasting most the day running around the map (again) praying to God you get something above 1 star. These rates are BAD. Good luck filling that out before the season ends! Plus the day feels very short. You simply don't have enough time to do a lot of things before you pass out and Orlo has to wheel you back home. Wish there was an option to make the day go by a little slower or just make the day longer. All in all, I want to keep playing because a part of me is hoping the game will finally get good once I unlock everything I need. But in its current state, with this price tag, riding purely on the LOTR franchise name, and with how mundane the gameplay is... I really can't recommend this game. It won't be the worst thing you've ever played, but if you're looking for a good cozy game, this is not it. Other cozy sims have a lot more to offer for a cheaper price, better mechanics, and overall better experience than this game. However, what they don't have is hobbits. If you're a diehard LOTR fan, give it a go... On a sale.
I am sincerely bummed out that I am almost 100% finished with this game. I am a huge lotr fan and really enjoy cozy games. I told all my friends about this game, usually in one continuous sentence with no pauses or punctuation "I'm playing this game and you get to be a hobbit and decorate your little hobbit hole and have a bunch of hobbit friends who you cook for and help do stuff with and you can fish and farm and forage and its so cozy and wholesome and I've been thinking about it for my entire shift" I'm finishing my last few meals and my last fish to find. I had so much fun exploring the little world in this game and if cozy, stardew valley-esque games are your style, I highly recommend it. Even if it isn't your usual type of game, if you're a Lord of the Rings nerd I would expect you to enjoy it. And if you know nothing about Lord of the Rings, that's fine too! Look, the world is absolutely garbage right now. Why wouldn't you want to escape to Hobbiton and make cheese bread?
If you love LOTR and Hobbits you will enjoy this game. Finally I get to live the life of a hobbit, cooking, gardening, fishing, foraging, hosting dinner parties and frolicking in the forest until I fall asleep and get wheelbarrowed home by the postman. I find all the systems really well laid out and even genuinely enjoy fishing in a game for the first time. The way fishing is done has not only been interesting but realistic feeling (to as much degree as it can in a game) and not extremely difficult. Gardening is fun and satisfying, I love the companion planting system (companion planting is a real thing). Cooking is fun and the flavour combos and wide range of ingredients make it more interesting. Decorating is fun but can be a little weird placing things sometimes though it's not too bad. I've only had very minor glitches once or twice and they haven't really gotten in the way of gameplay to any serious degree.
Love the vibe, just don't like the lack of content. With wandering and taking my time, I did pretty much everything there was to do in 20 hours and then that was that. Cool concept, just not much of a game to go with it.
This game is not what I hoped for. The story is short and has no real meaning to it. The gameplay is where all you do is gather ingredients and then invite hobbits for meals. Day in, day out. But hey, if thats for you. Then this game is defintely for you. If you however like me are more into games where there needs to happen more and more variety then this is not for you.
