Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.

For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 26 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 7 places towards #1, and the 2,400 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.
🎮 Game Review: Take the Cake

Developer: Ebenit Genre: Platformer, Puzzle Platform: PC (Steam) Release: 2018 🌟 Overview "Take the Cake" is a charming 2.5D platformer and puzzle game developed by Ebenit. With a lighthearted tone and clever mechanics, it invites players on a fun adventure with a friendly robot named Frank, who’s on a mission to… steal a cake! Despite the humorous premise, the game delivers a logic-based experience that balances simple mechanics with smart puzzle design. It’s a great pick for fans of casual thinking games in a relaxing environment. 🎨 Graphics and Visual Style The visuals in "Take the Cake" are clean and colorful, with a cartoon-like charm. The 2.5D aesthetic works well, blending 3D elements with classic side-scrolling gameplay. Each level is well-designed, with good color variation and structure, keeping the experience fresh and visually appealing. Characters and enemies are cute and well-animated, creating a friendly atmosphere that's great for casual players and kids alike. 🎵 Sound and Music The soundtrack is soft and relaxing, perfectly fitting the game’s casual nature. Sound effects are simple but effective, giving good feedback to player actions. While the music isn’t particularly epic or memorable, it suits the gameplay and doesn't become repetitive over time. 🧠 Gameplay and Mechanics This is where the game really shines. "Take the Cake" features smooth, intelligent gameplay that mixes platforming with physics and logic puzzles. Players will: Trigger buttons and mechanisms; Avoid traps and hazards; Use a rolling “destruction ball” to interact with the environment. These elements are used creatively across 27+ levels, with a difficulty curve that increases gradually and respects the player’s learning pace. The controls are simple and responsive, ensuring a frustration-free experience. The game rewards experimentation and clever thinking, rather than punishing mistakes. 👍 Strengths ✔️ Fun, well-balanced gameplay; ✔️ Clean and appealing visual design; ✔️ Smart level design with engaging puzzles; ✔️ Relaxed atmosphere, suitable for all ages; ✔️ Lightweight and runs smoothly on low-end PCs; ✔️ Affordable price – great value for the content offered. 👎 Possible Improvements (without diminishing the game's strengths) Could benefit from more variety in environments and enemy types; Minimal narrative – focused more on gameplay, which might not appeal to players who seek story-driven experiences; Relatively short – although quality is good, the game can be completed in a few hours. ✅ Final Verdict: Is it worth it? Yes, definitely! "Take the Cake" is a simple but well-executed indie game with lots of charm. It delivers a relaxing, logic-based puzzle experience in a vibrant and welcoming world. Perfect for players looking for a light, clever game or something enjoyable to play between more intense titles. It’s also a great entry-level puzzle platformer for children or casual gamers. 🌟 Final Score: 8.5 / 10 Highlight: A great example of how simplicity and smart ideas can create a delightful, intelligent game. seems good
Take the Cake is a simplistic platformer/puzzle game where you move a ball of black fluff around a map. You can increase/decrease your size and mass to make some platform sections move up or down. This is not terrible but not great, either. The game works in full screen, but controls are fixed and there's no graphics modes etc, which should be standard for every PC game. Gameplay is okay but not amazing. There are thousands of games on Steam, and mediocre doesn't cut it. The price tag of $7.50 is quite high for a simple puzzle platformer, too. Steam doesn't give a "maybe" option, and this game just doesn't shine enough that I would recommend it to anyone.
