In Tactical Breach Wizards, you lead a team of renegade wizards in kevlar through turn-based battles to unravel a modern conspiracy plot. Combine their unique spells in clever ways, or rewind time to try every crazy plan you can think of to punch a Traffic Warlock through a 4th story window.

This is way over the top of what we could have expected. The writing is fantastic, including that the dialogue twists the conversations cleverly even if one choice is only over how snarky you want to be. The tactical puzzles are clever and infinite rewinds turns out to be the right number for whichever mission seems impossible at first. Buy it on sale. Buy it on surcharge, Buy it as a gift. Довольно неплохая тактическая игра. Кампания проходится за вечер-два. Есть много пользовательских карт.

This game is super fun! It has a real charm to its world and characters. Gameplay wise I'd compare it to a slightly simpler X-Com Chimera squad. Each level starts with a breach, all your characters take their turn, there's a reaction phase, then the enemy turn. In between levels you assign gained experience to perks. It's simple but not bland. Where the game really shines is the character interactions, which are pretty straightforward dialogue trees. The game has a small scope but executes everything it attempts really well.
tl;dr Good game. Would defenestrate a hapless guard again. This game is highly recommended for anyone into turn based tactics and/or puzzle games. Tactical Breach Wizards is closer to "Into the Breach" than "XCOM". Notably, enemy actions are telegraphed and player actions are guaranteed to work. The game has a single difficulty setting that I found adequately challenging. A generous rewind mechanic helps to ensure success, though clever level design still requires some puzzling to solve. The game also offers optional level goals for a self-imposed challenge that rewards cosmetics. It's a flexible arrangement that should satisfy most players. The writing is superb. Character dialogue is intelligent, wry, and often quite funny. The story has enough interesting turns and beats to stay engaging. Finally, the campaign does a good job of not overstaying its welcome. I finished in 19 hours which included trying to chase mission objectives when it seemed doable.
What an absolute gem of a game. Tactical Breach Wizards definitely started with the idea "What if it was Navy SEER instead of Navy Seal haha" and then somehow turned into one of the most fun puzzle games I've played in awhile. And I do think that distinction of calling it a puzzle game is important, because after Act 2 or 3 depending on when it clicks for you, it stops really feeling like a "Tactics" game and significantly more like a puzzle game. But frankly, that's when it is at its best. Combining all your wizards unique abilities together to do each of the bonus objectives is a delight and you truly end up falling in love with this cast. The story is awesome, too. Nothing is particularly "surprising" sans one small twist, but it's both well written and extremely funny and engaging. I honestly can't believe people don't talk about this one more.
xcom but with more windows and more ways to shoot people out of said windows
A fun and challenging puzzle of a game, like thinking with portals. Worth every dollar.
Solid tactical fun, loved trying to piece together the confidence goals on each level.
Fantastic game, well designed levels, great character synergies, and really charming writing. I was quite pleasantly surprised by this game, I had originally expected something more... generic, I guess? Instead I got a deep investigative plot with fun characters and levels so tightly designed they often feel more like puzzles than the battlegrounds of a turn-based tactics game.
