System Under Surveillance (SUS) is a charming stealth puzzle adventure, where you have to avoid and trick enemies rather than fight them. Take control of Adam and his little robot, TURBO. Use their unique abilities to navigate a maze-like dystopian city. Do you have what it takes to escape?

I've been following the game for a while on their social, and I'm impressed how much the devs have improved in just a few months. I love the soundtrack and the graphics are well made. There are already 4 levels amounting to about 2 hours, but the the game gets more challenging as you go on. Cons: I can see there are still things to do though. For instance, there is no setting button to change audio and control tho. I think that's important and some players might not like it. There are also a few bugs, but nothing game breaking. Performance seems good, but sometimes it lags. I would also like more cooperation between the turbo and Adam. Recommended to those who enjoy pixel art games and want something different than the usual shooter, but beware that it's not perfect. Edit: it does not seem to lag anymore after the latest update.
About 2 Months ago I played System Under Surveillance The Demo version For some reason I didn't write reviews until now, but it's remained one of my favourite single-player games Mixed with Adventure , puzzles , and a gold standard that I compare others to.. The game is set in a beautiful Pixel art world, with truly amazing pixel art, The world is huge and has many very diverse regions which all are beautiful. I truly fell in love with this game, Everything is perfect, it offers much more than meets the eye. There is detail in the details. The graphics are beautiful and charming, something that I haven't seen in quite a while The puzzles, despite being a letdown for some, are really well done. It isn't your average switch on and off turning, they will take your knowledge of the in-game abilities to the maximum The performance is great, It is locked to your refresh rate, But I had absolutely no drops It stayed at a solid 60fps. Give the game a chance past the beginning sections, and you'll find an and complex puzzles to solve and Amazing advnture Stay for those aspects, and you'll find yourself surprised by one of the greatest stories Just get the game, you won't regret it. I wish more devs put this amount of detail in their games like this game ! <3
EDIT: In the past few days the game has received a few updates. So today I decided to hop on to see what changed: - It was added the game option "Settings"! Although, we can currently modify the Music and SFX volume, but this is already an improvement. - Most visual bugs have been fixed from what I've noticed. - The HUD not appearing at the beginning of the new levels has been fixed as well. - The lag spikes, started to become more rare and last way less than before. - The UI has been improved and it now explains what keys you need to press to navigate through your Tablet. - When the game kept restarting because I pressed random keys has been fixed. I'm very content with the updates and bug fixes the devs have brought to us, and it is nice to see the company listening to our feedback and bug reports. My respect for the developers! I'm looking forward to their next update! ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Discovered the game on reddit a while ago early on in development. I don't usually get early access games but the devs seem to have put a lot of woke into it, and I love the concept of playing as two characters at the same time. I have also tried demo a while ago but it seems to be gone now (where is it?). Compared to demo it is a big improvement. It's far from perfect, but that's early access for you. Pros: - the new levels (compared to the demo) can be a quite challenging; - great soundtrack, really brings up the cyberpunk and retro feeling; - many small details, such as the holographic trees when you pass through them; I would like to see more details like this in the future. - playing with two characters (and Turbo's design is really creative). But I want to know more details about their back stories. Also, nice touch having Turbo speak in binary. Maybe you can have a power up in the future that can translate the binary. - story being told in a comic book style is always a plus for me. - nice twist at the end, opens up a lot of possibilities game play wise. Cons: - some visual bugs that can create a bit of confusion at the beginning; - UI needs to improve, the game does not always explain well what buttons I need to press to navigate it. I think I restarted a level three times by mistake, and that's annoying. - the absence of the option “Settings” in the Main Menu and during the gameplay; being able to remap the controls would be nice. - rarely there are lag spikes, but they last about a couple of seconds so nothing serious. - controls overall need improvement (the isometric perspective can be confusing). - during the 3rd map, I’ve noticed that the HUD is not present, it makes it look like I’m playing during a cutscene. Sometimes it triggers back the HUD when you get into a cutscene, but not always. For a game in Early Access, and done by a small team, I can say that the game has started rather good and it looks very promising. I can recommend it to those who like a twist to the usual stealth games where you can progress just by killing enemies. But beware that it still needs work.
I got this game recently from the developers because I asked for a free demo to make a video for my little Indie game channel on YouTube: https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCZP6dZ6oCR0Mwi0Lx2ggo1g I got to say I did not expect that it would be this much fun to play it. I had a blast! Honestly the video got far longer, that I planned ...lol. And I am not writing a positive review because I got it for free. You can see that in my video ;) However I can absolutely recommend this game to everyone who likes pixel art and loves stealth games. It has some things to discover and mechanics that will lead you through each level and will also change a bit. It pulls you into the game and keeps you busy because it stays interesting and a bit chellanging while playing. It is also easy enough that some dumb old lady like me could handle it ...lol. So don't expect it to be hyper difficult. I hope this review and my video will help you decide whether to buy it or not ;) Happy gaming guys!
I stumbled across this game on day, and since then it hasn’t let me down. I love the game mechanics and the “mission”. It’s a game everyone can play and its very easy to follow. I didn’t get stuck once! I also love the pixel artwork, it suits the game very well. The game is also very polished and well developed. I genuinely recommend this game, to everyone!
Pros: I really like the graphics in this game. I would never have thought a dystopian world full of evil robots could look so cute! I don't usually go for pixel art games, but it's grown on me. The game mechanics feel great, as controlling both characters interchangeably adds another layer to solving the puzzles. These start out quite simple in the beginning, when the game is introducing the types of actions you can do, but get quite challenging in the end. Cons: - There are still some bugs to be fixed - The game is a bit pricey, giving that it has limited replayability However, if you have some money to spare and you are interested in this game, I'd give it a shot.
While this game is pretty good it’s not revolutionary but I can see the dedication from the makers. The graphics are pretty nice for its style and I really liked the little touches all around the levels like the hologram tree disappearing if you step into it. The AI could be a bit more challenging but I guess I prefer more difficult games, so in that sense it’s maybe not exactly “my cup of tea”. The control of the characters is an interesting solution but it doesn’t add as much to the game as someone would expect. While controlling Adam is straightforward and easy, controlling Turbo is fun (because of its speed) but can be annoying when you get stuck next to a tube. Even though you can clearly see that it is in early access thus there are some bugs and it still needs a lot of attention from the developers, I still think that it is overall a good game. Pros: It has an interesting story, good puzzles and nice style. Cons: Still buggy and not so challenging AI.
An amazing game with an compelling story and awesome characters! I really liked switching between them to reach different areas, even when I got caught and had to go back. The story keeps you pulled in as you want to find out what happened, and help the main characters get through the levels! If you're looking for a game with both puzzles, switching, and sneaking, this is the game for you!
