Prices
Each in the currency that store quoted — not converted: the gap between two rows is the publisher's pricing, not an exchange rate.
Availability
We put this game to every storefront we collect. A market that answered not sold has told us something about the game; a market we never asked has not, and the two are never drawn the same.
Discounts
Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.

Reviews
I am going to start this review by saying that gamers in 2026 have become lazy as hell. (And I blame the "yellow paint" problem for this as well even though I love RE games) Why am I saying this? Because people can't get thrown into a game and not have a clue what to do without throwing a fit about it and immediately saying "bad game design". System Shock is one of those titles I played as a kid and had no idea what to do, yet I found it challenging in a good way. The remake is a faithful 1:1 recreation with amazing visuals, simple yet impactful changes and overall impressive tribute to the original. It's a game that does not give you any objective markers, no waypoints and basically makes you listen to everything, read everything and go through every single corner, checking every item available, and I freaking love that. With it's, I do admit, a bit unforgiving game design, it literally takes the RPG trope to it's core. Took me a while to finally get to playing and I honestly enjoyed every second of it. So for any new player or overall gamer that's afraid to start it because of the comments: "Where the f- do I go? What the f- do I do? You need a guide" etc, etc... Just shut off the modern gamer brain, sit back, get immersed, pain careful attention, check everything and do not forget: SHODAN sees all.

14 of 15 markets; the rest we haven't asked for this title, not markets where it is unavailable.
14 on sale1 answered “not sold”0 we did not ask
The 1 “not sold” market is read from the Steam price pass of Sep 15: that day the store answered for this game elsewhere and gave no price there. The 14 priced markets are the same rows as the table above — each the latest price we hold, dated here when it is older than that pass. The 0 marked “not asked” were not put to this store at all — either it has no storefront there or we do not collect it yet, and neither is a statement about the game. A refusal is a refusal on one day; a store can list a title again tomorrow.
For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 26 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 7 places towards #1, and the 2,400 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

While i did enjoy this game for hours upon hours i feel like i get more frustrated to the point i'm not having fun anymore I can see why people enjoy this game i enjoyed a lot of this game but i'm at the beta grove section and i just don't like the game anymore so i quit, its not just that but before i've been having problems with the map sometimes it just feels difficult trying to know what the game wants of you it feels like in some sections you straight up need a guide and i don't like games that do that, i don't like hand holding in games but i also don't like not knowing where to go next in a huge maze. I understand its a remake but i feel like that is a thing that should have been changed i don't think remakes should change everything but some maps in this i just do not have fun with, the inventory system feels pretty dumb like i love inventory systems but in this one it feels like your given 5 new guns every level but they take up most the inventory and the game doesn't feel like its built for this new inventory system. I haven't played the original game but the radiation system is just dumb to me as well Again i can see why people would enjoy this game but i feel so frustrated that i'm not having fun anymore personally shodan is the best part hands down
Looks beautiful. Only way to progress through the game is to use your brain, like actually. USE IT! It will not hold your hand on default difficulty, and even with objective marker's enabled you may still struggle if you're used to games making it more obvious on what to do. You have to figure out what to do by searching around for clues and putting 2 and 2 together. Guns are fun to use, especially energy/plasma guns. The cyberspace hacking minigame sucks. The panel hacking minigames are good. The enemies will keep you on your toes. SHODAN thinking she's sentient is laughable imo. Backtracking is a frequent gameplay loop. I'd play it again, 9.5/10 the bosses will destroy your will to live.
This game makes my eyes bleed, they definitely took the 80's retro sci fi art style a little too far. I don't think I've ever seen a game with worse environmental readability. Every surface, every single flat plane, is a super detailed chopped texture covered in blinking lights surrounded by darkness which makes finding items cause eye hemorrhoids. It doesn't help that every corridor looks practically the same. I feel like an old man when I'm exploring around because I really have to examine the molecules of everything to find stuff and there are very important items that are tiny and just look like another glowing table light until you hover over it. I'm also not fan of the recycling mechanic. By the spirit of Todd Howard, you are encouraged to pick up every bit of junk from loose napkins to rolls of toilet paper to grind into scrap. Well, the game doesn't do this automatically which leads to you constantly opening your inventory to scrap things to clear space and it grinds the gameplay to a halt.
Daumen hoch? Daumen runter? -Ja!
System Shock is a masterclass in making you feel completely, utterly and terrifyingly alone in a retro-futuristic nightmare. If you appreciate the vibe of an interconnected, deeply atmospheric facility where everything has gone catastrophically wrong, this is the grandfather of that entire genre, rebuilt from the ground up. Citadel Station is a massive, sprawling puzzle box of a map. You aren't following glowing dotted lines or waypoint markers, you actually have to pay attention to your surroundings, listen to audio logs and figure out how to survive on your own. And then there's SHODAN. There is nothing quite like desperately trying to manage your grid-based inventory with zero health, while a beautifully voice-acted, megalomaniacal artificial intelligence actively mocks your pathetic human existence through the station's intercoms. Getting bullied by a computer has never been this entertaining. The Highlights:

The Aesthetic: Nightdive Studios absolutely nailed the visual style. It’s a perfect blend of gorgeous modern lighting with chunky, pixelated 90s textures. It gives the neon-lit corridors an unsettling, liminal-space creepiness that feels incredibly nostalgic but fresh.
No Hand-Holding: This game respects your intelligence. It hands you a lead pipe, points you down a dark, cyborg-infested medical deck and leaves you to figure out the rest.
The Scrappy Survival: You really feel like a desperate hacker just trying to scrape by, vaporizing junk into scrap to recycle for credits just to buy a single med-patch makes every bullet and battery feel incredibly valuable.
The Catch: If you hate playing "Inventory Tetris" you are going to suffer. Also, the 6DOF Cyberspace hacking sequences are a weird, neon-colored fever dream that can feel super disorienting, even if they do break up the tension of the main station. This is an incredible, faithful remake of an absolute classic. 10/10 — I recycled an empty soda can to buy ammo to shoot a mutant and SHODAN called me an insect.
As someone who never played the original game but adores system shock 2 and other immersive sims like deus ex and the prey reboot, this game really impressed me and still felt like a fun and fresh experience even compared to many modern triple A titles coming out today. if you enjoy immersive sims or just really solid first person shooter experiences id definitely check it out
