Prices
Each in the currency that store quoted — not converted: the gap between two rows is the publisher's pricing, not an exchange rate.
Availability
We put this game to every storefront we collect. A market that answered not sold has told us something about the game; a market we never asked has not, and the two are never drawn the same.
Discounts
Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.

It is a testament to good game design that System Shock still holds up. This is a very faithful recreation of the original one, with a couple of modern conveniences added and some things changed, mostly the cyberspace stuff. Then again, I played the original years ago, so the memory might be a bit hazy. Generally it works, is fun to play and do. But, not all old design was good. The levels, being very faithful, are a bloody maze sometimes, and very hard to navigate organically. The level design also forgoes modern conveniences, and backtracking is a long and drawn-out process. The Executive level is a very egregious example, with its long crawlspace that you have to go through whenever you wish to go to the last levels. Juggling the weapons with the limited inventory space was also a hassle, and I run out of batteries in the Grove, which made life very interesting. I would say that if you want to play System Shock but can't stomach old DOS stuff, play this. If you want a good immersive simulator, play Prey. It is objectively a better game, but no SHODAN sadly.

14 of 15 markets; the rest we haven't asked for this title, not markets where it is unavailable.
14 on sale1 answered “not sold”0 we did not ask
The 1 “not sold” market is read from the Steam price pass of Sep 15: that day the store answered for this game elsewhere and gave no price there. The 14 priced markets are the same rows as the table above — each the latest price we hold, dated here when it is older than that pass. The 0 marked “not asked” were not put to this store at all — either it has no storefront there or we do not collect it yet, and neither is a statement about the game. A refusal is a refusal on one day; a store can list a title again tomorrow.
For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 26 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 7 places towards #1, and the 2,402 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

I wish i could give it a bad review, but i wont. System Shock 2023 is the remake of the old as hell game which i enjoyed both (Liked 2 more) with retro modern graphics in your way, it is a perfect remake but Unreal Engine ruined it, i lost a LEVEL worth of progress because the game crashed right after the bossfight (No spoiling it). The story revolves around waking up from cryo sleep after Trioptimum Corporation found out you were hacking their files and they basically ship you to their space station. While at it, the AI who controls that station, SHODAN, goes rogue and murders everyone except you and turns the dead into creatures you would see in your nightmares as a child or cyborgs with an objective to destroy Earth by firing a laser and multiple other means of doing so. You were freed from that sleep and was given the objective to destroy SHODAN due to the military implant in you that basically makes you a super soldier. As for everything else im surprised i paid only a single euro to play this, what a great game under a trashy engine. I did remove this game already, but i enjoyed my ten hours of lore. Tho i'd rather play System Shock 2 since atleast that one isnt a buggy mess, this remains a good remake that isnt just some lazy port.
The System Shock Remake is a very interesting story. When it was first announced way back in 2015 I had recently played the original game for the first time and I was very very excited, as time went on I got worried and even wondered if the game would come out at all. However, it did come out and here we are years later. The game is very good, and very true to the original in most ways. It's a Sci-Fi Immersive Sim though has Metroidvania and Horror elements too. It's a remake of a game that came out in 1994, that went on to inspire many other games. The story is that a Hacker does a job for a shady corpo and as a result an AI called SHODAN takes over a space station. A simple premise but it's done well. The voice acting for SHODAN is still amazing, the other characters all sound better than they did originally. Some dialogue is different but the gist of it all is the same. There are also some added story bits that weren't there originally. I would have personally liked some of the manual and guide stuff too but for what is in there it's good. The levels are all good, the added detail is all really good and each of them feel unique and distinct. Most of the layouts are the same as in the original, though there are some areas that are different or redesigned. They all are just as open and expansive as they originally were. The first few and last few levels are gone through in a linear order but the middle levels can all be handled in whatever order you want. The new areas are good and add to the levels. They even added bathrooms this time, small bathrooms, but they are there. Seeing stuff that was limited before like the grove domes was a real treat. I do wish the groves were greener and the bridge had the virus, but they do still look nice. There is even a playable section in the intro, though I wish it was expanded a bit more. The art direction and graphics is good, the game has a slight pixelation which some dislike but I don't mind. An option to turn it off would have been nice though mods exist for those that want it. I think it looks good and makes it unique. Overall the game translates the original stuff well, though there is a clear difference comparing the two versions. Some of the original artists also helped with the designs. It's not 1:1 and there are a few times I wished they used more for the original but overall it looks good. Some areas are darker, some are lighter, and some look about the same. The added detail really helps, and being able to see the outside of the station is nice (just wish that it was expanded a little). Weapons and items all feel good, there are some new ones which feel really nice. Some are sadly missing, but all the important ones are present at least. You can even upgrade and buy certain items from various machines. They are all fun to use and the added shotgun and grenade launchers are nice. Enemies all return (outside of the Hunter Killer), they all look good and there are even some new ones too which I like. My only issue is that I wish the Cyborg Enforcers were brown like in the originals. The new enemies fit right in with the old one, some of those new ones are variants on existing enemies and some fully original. Cyberspace has been redesigned, it largely plays like it did before but it is much easier to see where you are going. The cyber look has been turned up to 11, part of me does miss aspects of the original look but overall I do like how the new one looks. It is more wave based now, meaning in many cases you have to defeat waves of enemies before progressing. I don't care for this but patches have made it easier so that's nice. There are also a few more cyberspace areas than before. The puzzles also return, they are redesigned but there are still grid and wire puzzles. The minigames sadly did not make the final cut, but there is a chess puzzle in Delta Grove, which I wish didn't have an inventory upgrade locked behind it (nothing a chess engine can't solve). The music is very different. Originally you could hardly hear it but now with the current patches it does play (plus there are mods that enhance it further). I really really wish the game had an option for the original music, but there are mods for that at least. The new music sounds fine/good, some of it is fitting in its own way just different. Some tracks have a similar vibe as the original while others are different. There is also now combat music too. Like the original it is still dynamic. There are some cut songs I wish made the cut but with what's there while not all of it is my favorite, overall it sounds fine with some good stuff in there too. The game plays overall the same, in that the objectives and flow is the same. If you played the original you should have no issues here. The selectable difficulties also return (though 0 difficulty does not) I do wish for the sake of newer players the game had an objective and code tab like System Shock 2 has. There is also now a gender option for the Hacker, though sadly the female option does reuse some male stuff which I really dislike (it's a small thing but it does bother me). Overall the remake is really good, if you liked the original or enjoy similar games then I do highly suggest you play this one. If you hadn't played the original I do recommend that you play it as it is good. The game doesn't hold your hand but as long as you pay attention and explore (or use a guide) you should be ok. For new players who are new to these types of games it can be a lot but if you stick with it is is good. Overall I give it either an 8.5 or 9/10
Лютая дрысня.
Very long time since I enjoyed a game that much. Bought it on a whim because i liked System Shock 2 and never played the first one and man...Prey (2017) may be able to top it for me but still this is absolutely peak. I really love it. Nightdive just never misses and combined with this franchise they outdid themselfs in my opinion. Thanks for this gem!
This is a masterpiece. This is what all game remakes should look like! The optimization is excellent; it runs smoothly even at 2K resolution on older GPUs like the RX 580. The music and sound design are top-notch, as are the immersive story and atmosphere. When you first start the game, you set the difficulty for combat, puzzles, and cyberspace. For new players, System Shock’s navigation—including the puzzles—might be frustrating, and the extreme difficulty alone could be off-putting to newcomers. I recommend it more to veterans and older players like myself, as well as fans of this genre who appreciate a real challenge. ..Finding a good game these days is already difficult; there’s no point in chasing after top-of-the-line hardware and performance, because older games were good back in the day, and what’s coming out now is mostly just trash...
Монотонно, скучна. Не хватает моментов с масштабными взрывами, чтобы можно было кататься на моцыке, кидая гранаты. Чисто ходьба ради ходьбы по однообразным локациям.
