Swords & Souls Legacy Collection

I have no nostalgia for these games. + Sword And Souls. I have played the sequel to Swords and Souls. I think the sequel is very similar to the original, but a few small changes. There's barely any story in this and it has potions and spells you can buy in the store. Which I don't remember in the sequel. I would say the sequel is better, but this is not bad either. Especially if you want something just a bit different. - The Soul Driver Really boring and choppy. I don't know if it's a problem with my monitor, the framerate or what not but I get this insane ghosting issue with this game, which renders it unplayable. Even if we ignore the ghosting the game is pretty boring. You're speeding up and slowing down and trying to avoid damage in a really repetitive pattern. The games story also does not help in that it sets up the campaign as getting to Mexico. But there's no consistent "distance from Mexico" narrative either visually or just as a number. = Gentleman Okay platformer with focus on short speedrun levels. SImilar to something like meatboy. Platforming is not that precise, animations are a little rough, but the general artstyle and idea is okay. - Rogue Soul 1 Pretty frustrating controls. You're constantly getting overloaded by consumables and going through the same generated levels over and over. Sometimes it will loop the exact same setup twice in a row and you'll be confused if you did something wrong or not. Repetitive. + Rogue Soul 2 Very improved upon sequel. Refined controls. Less repetitive levels. Has an upgrade system for a more varience and a story. I would say this is the second good game in the bundle. Overall: Nostalgic for these games? Sure go ahead and buy the package. If you haven't played these games I'd say only buy it for Sword and Soul and only after you've played the sequel. Keep in mind these are all capped at 30 fps.
