I cannot in good faith recommend this game. I've played it off and on for years. I want to like it, but there is so much wrong with this game. Each run takes hours, and can end at a moments notice because a new enemy attacked you and it turns out that enemy does enough poison damage to kill your character on full health. The only thing you gain after losing a run after 6 hours is the knowledge not to let that enemy hit you again. Investing so much time into a run and not come out of it with any tangible gain isn't fun, it feels like a waste of time.

125 hours played and despite that, I'm not sure it's "good". It's compelling! And interesting! And frustrating! And kinda janky! But in that "charming euro-jank" sort of way! Does that make it good? Probably for some people, including myself.

Great game...so much variety, many weapons and skills and ways to handle threats. Really a well thought through, complex old school rpg roguelike. Highly recommended
