its a great rogue like, if you are a fan of the genre you'll probably be a fan of this game. It has really customizable difficulty settings which are never boringly easy and never upsettingly impossible. 10/10.
I love the puzzle of finding the most optimal movement option to do. There is a certain charm to the pixel art and sound design that reminds me a lot of games I would play as a kid. Super fun experience to play!
Asked for a minor change (the ability to swap where two specific movement keys were in order to more resemble older traditional roguelikes) and the developer got back to me within literally five minutes to go "yeah i can fix that" and had it up within a matter of hours. Absolutely excellent support there, and now that it controls more like what I'm used to, I can say that this is a very fun little roguelike. Highly streamlined in a way that makes it both approachable and a nice change of pace for people who primarily more complex roguelikes, providing an experience akin to what you'd get from, say, Brogue (which is a very good thing). Going to keep chipping away at this; the session length feels very well tuned to just throw myself at it whenever the mood strikes, then do something else, then throw myself at it again. Delightful.

This game feels a lot like Hydra Slayer but with character positioning instead of number theory. If that sentence means something to you, then you should probably buy the game. So far my favorite part of the game has been the high item generation variance that allows for very powerful items to exist along with the extremely limited inventory serving to balance that out. Those are two things I'd normally find troubling in a traditional roguelike, but they kind of work perfectly together here.
Super fun roguelike, lots of room for different strategies and changing tactics within a run!
