Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.
Reviews, worldwide (the counter carries no country): 0.43/day in the week to Aug 17 → 1.86/day in the week after.
For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 26 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 7 places towards #1, and the 2,400 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

Much like Journey, I adore the art style and the relaxing nature of the gameplay. Music is the icing on the cake.
The thumbs down is because Steam has a binary recommendation system. Because Sword of the Sea is perfectly servicable. It has good art and okay worldbuilding and the gameplay is fine (though I did get stuck at annoying moments). It just... has nothing else going for it? The story/characters and the cutscenes are just your typical video game story and therefore kinda bad and cringe. Also, it just doesn't beat playing Journey with 4 friends together and turning it into a co-op game. Your milage might vary of course but for me it was a one and done game and 29 euros is extremely steep for something that I beat in 2,5 hours.

I cannot believe I almost missed out on this amazing experience. If other games had movement that felt half this good we'd be eating good 365 days a year. A short but stunning adventure that takes the best from Journey (which I liked), Abzu (which I didn't care for) and the Pathless (which I loved) to create a near flawless final package. Would recommend others to pick this up, potentially during a sale like I did.
Great short game. The controls are intuitive and easy to pick up. It's a fun world to explore and find all the hidden alcoves. Amazing OST that I don't think I could ever get tired of. Kept me immersed throughout. I had some issues with frame rate and unfortunately had to turn the quality way down. Which sucks because the game is absolutely beautiful. I will personally be aiming for all achievements on this as I got most of them with my first two playthroughs.
I recommend the game but on discount. You can zoom through the game in about an hour. $40 as of 2026 is a bit rough. Assuming its because of the Unreal tax plus Malukah maybe? Its a super easy game, very grindy if you know these folks games when you want to 100% the thing. Nice visually and music was good as well. If you played the other games you know what you are getting into.
Cool game as a concept, but feels way too short and ended right as it felt like mechanics were coming together or the game was going somewhere. Unlocks also felt way too minor to warrant a second playthrough to grind out the second half of the upgrades I had to go. Go play Journey instead.
Pretty as always, the visuals never fail from Giant Squid, if you want a visual game to relax and enjoy but still have good controls in the gameplay, this is the game for that.
this was everything I wanted it to be and also more than that, it was really fun and beautiful, and challenging but not *too* much. it has so much of the wonder of abzu and I explored as much of it as I could (and still definitely didn't find everything). the story is really cool, the character and level design is beautiful, and most importantly, there's fish everywhere, and I love fish.
i think i got more parasympathetic sighs playing this than reading a book
Buen juego. Ligeramente decepcionado. F*ck UE5
