Rip through hostile alien worlds, harvest mutant body parts mid-combat, and adapt faster than your enemies. Every alien you harvest gives you new body parts with unique powers, like triple-jump legs, turret-dropping torsos, grenade-launching turkey heads. Steal, swap, survive.

About

You are Squishy, a shape-shifting operative of Rangus Corp. Adapt to your enemies and outmaneuver them by stealing heads, torsos, and legs – each equipped with a unique power-- creating thousands of possible strategic combos. This unique mechanic makes you harder to kill and your gameplay more strategic, no matter what enemy you encounter.
Survive your runs alone or recruit up to three friends to destroy aliens and swap their meat alongside you. With dynamically scaling difficulty, the game gets harder when players join and easier when they leave.
If you’ve ever threatened to break someone’s arm and beat them with it, well, this is that mechanic in action, and the game for you. Every limb and extremity you equip changes your strategy instantly. Rapid adaptation is your key to success. For example, equip Squat Daddy legs to jump and butt-slam enemies, or an Octo Swirl head that shoots in all directions! This upgrade path is unique to SWAPMEAT: evolving strategically mid-combat, stealing abilities and turning them against your enemies. Muahahaha.
SWAPMEAT forces improvisation in a fresh new way: you work with what drops and learn to thrive in unpredictability, while under constant siege by alien weirdos.
Waves of screwball enemies threaten to overwhelm you, but every weapon can be stolen for yourself. Dodge, shoot, and swap your way through escalating chaos while racing against time to complete objectives.
Risk of Rain 2 and co-op shooters like Helldivers 2 inspired our developers, but the speed of core combat harks back to some of our favorite games, such as Quake 3, Serious Sam, and Overwatch. Hark!
Each mission throws new enemies, random events, and unexpected part combinations at you. No two runs are ever the same. Every death teaches you something new.
Bring your research back to HQ and cash it in for weapon unlocks, new perks, and company-approved improvements. Over time, you get more powerful between runs.
Drop into random and bizarre planets, from an urban speedway thick with hungry mutant speedsters to a planetary cookout overrun by hostile aliens. Battle across wackadoodle, vivid landscapes strewn with the ruins of galactic capitalism, ancient tech, and '90's references.
SWAPMEAT offers four different difficulty levels, from Casual to Nightmare.

Great game, very interesting visual style
Did you ever play High on Life. This is what it'd be like if the Risk of Rain team was trapped in Adult Swim. It's a recommend!
Amazing Rougelite game in a similar vain to Risk Of Rain 2, but instead of preselecting your character and abilities before a run you get the chance to mix and match different abilities as you kill enemies and pick up their body parts. Hitting a perfect reload not only allows you to reload faster but also gives each weapon a unique bonus, with certain items synergising making the perfect reload system even more fun Meta progression outside runs includes perks, gun unlocks and upgrades. All bought an upgrade through the resources you gather in a run. The difficulty spike can take some time getting used to but definitely a fun experience, more so when youre in a multiplayer lobby, - if you like RoR2 you’ll enjoy what this game has to offer
My boyfriend suggested trying this game together and it is actually so much fun. We spent the whole night playing and im excited to play more when we wake up. There are many different heads, chests and legs and also elements. I already found my favourite items so far. I like that you can play this game in a groupe and can split up to get all the things done. The bosses are amazing aswell. It reminds me a bit of world of warcraft what I like a lot. Also so there is so much detail in the lobby room. First I thoughts there is not much to do and its just a simple game but no. There is so much to unlock, quests to do, items you can get to get better weapons. Figureing out what power ups are the best to choose is also very fun. Overall a very VERY good game. There are tiny little things that has to be fixed like. But that doesnt make the game bad. I would appreciate another way of healing. Like Fleshy Hearts as healing orbs or so. Or a power up to click that gives life steal. It doesnt have to be much more but the healing stations are simply not enough. Especially since you also can play meele and then you take lots of damage. Will definetly keep playing this game
it's good fun and all, but i feel like i've tried it all after 5 hours.
RANGUS IS THE PLACE TO BEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE TAAAAAAAAAAASTY TREAAAAATS THAT SET YOU FREEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE I like this game but I wish there to be more to it. Return of the Meats Sometimes the FPS craps itself when you destroy certain enemies and I'm on the latest tech.
Incredible game! Ever since I saw it for the first time I was dying to play it, it was practically love at first sight LoL. The game itself is really really good! If anything I think it needs way more love than it already has, More people need to play this game, this thing needs to be way more popular than it is in my opinion, and I'm glad the game devs made this game and hope they had fun creating it :] if you're reading this review here's one thing you should take away from it: Play the game it's awesome!
This is so ♥♥♥♥♥♥.
Swapping my meat. It made my girlfriend happier! 10/10 Play it. Swap meat today right now.
