Sushi Ben

С одной стороны, игру купил всего за 250 рублей. С другой, потраченного времени жаль.

Скажу честно. Не будучи уверенным в игре (да, название несколько сбивает с толку), решил я попробовать «бесплатную версию» и-и-и... Купил без тени сомнения — определённо обалденная игруля, особенно под ВР. Если вы, как я, устали от вечных экшенов и порой хотите поиграть в ВР во что-то этакое... где можно было бы просто расслабиться, без дела погулять и насладиться видами, отдохнуть на пляже, ну а может и заняться чем-то вроде рыбалки или... изгнанием злых духов :D То это определённо для вас! По сюжету мы переезжаем в небольшой прибрежный городок для новой тихой жизни, и... Она была бы такой, не встреть мы кое-какого цукумогами, парочку алчных риелторов, ну и непутевого бедолагу Бена, коему, пытаясь помочь, мы и втягиваемся в круговорот событий (впрочем, всё это более чем сочитается с тихим и расслабляющим ритмом жизни в небольшом, но на редкость красивом городе, эх, тоже бы в подобное место перебраться... ) Сюжет хоть временами и ощущается несколько по-детски, но не скупится на юмор и вполне себе способен удержать и мотивировать для прохождения. Визуально сама игруля сделана в аниме-стиле - смотреть и даже любоваться приятно, и в ней действительно очень много чего радующего глаз, игра прямо-таки кричит: расслабься, отдохни, просто погуляй по Котобуки‑тауну или посиди и погляди на закат у моря! (вечером действительно самое то для расслабления) А вот эмоции персонажей то и дело показываются через анимированные 3D, словно это какая-то манга, и, честно говоря, в ВР это... выглядит на удивление забавно и уместно!) Игровые механики не идеальны и местами ощущаются сыровато-дубовато, но зато в меру разнообразны и достаточно хорошо адаптированы под ВР - скучать тоже не придётся. Как и сказал, однозначный мастхев для ищущих ВР-игрули, в которых можно было бы отдохнуть как от вечных экшенов, так и от работы и повседневности... ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ I’ll be honest. Not being sure about the game at first (yeah, the title is a bit misleading), I decided to try the “free version” and… ended up buying it without a second thought. It’s an absolutely fantastic game, especially in VR. If you’re like me and sometimes get tired of constant action games, and just want something in VR where you can relax, wander around, enjoy the scenery, chill on the beach, maybe do some fishing or… banish a few evil spirits :D — then this is definitely for you. Story-wise, you move to a small coastal town to start a quiet new life… which would’ve stayed that way if not for a certain tsukumogami, a couple of greedy realtors, and a rather unlucky guy named Ben. Trying to help him pulls you into a chain of events. Still, all of this blends surprisingly well with the calm, laid-back rhythm of life in this small yet beautiful town. Honestly, I’d love to move somewhere like that myself… The story can feel a bit childish at times, but it doesn’t hold back on humor and is engaging enough to keep you going. Visually, the game uses an anime style that’s genuinely pleasant to look at. There’s a lot of eye candy here, and the game practically tells you: relax, take a break, just walk around Kotobuki Town or sit by the sea and watch the sunset. Evenings in particular feel perfect for unwinding. Character emotions are often shown through animated 3D panels, almost like a manga, and in VR it looks surprisingly funny and fitting. The gameplay mechanics aren’t perfect and can feel a bit rough in places, but they’re varied enough and reasonably well adapted for VR, so you won’t get bored. As I said, this is a must-have for anyone looking for a VR game to relax, take a break from constant action, and just escape from work and everyday life for a while.

Chill story, good characters, amusing scenarios This is a game that I 10/10 recommend. It really feels like you can relate to a good number of people in the story, and the setting gives a small-town vibe I'm sure many can cozy with.

Ok so, the good, the story is fun, the music is good, the art direction is great and the characters have great design. And the collectibles around town are simple and not that tedious. Now the bad: There's just so many bugs -The character paths are not working properly so sometimes they don't appear on the cinematics inside daruma-zushi until the scene changes and they are teleported inside. -There are some points where you get softlock, one of which occured where i delivered a photo and was too close to the character to pick the daruma up, and since you can't move when someone is giving you a daruma then you are stuck -One of the targets in the forest doesn't dissapear when you shoot at it and spawns daruma as long as you keep shooting -The possessed object quest is bugged for many players -The tutorial achievement not marked as complete until the game is reloaded -After the "finale" when you meet ben on the beach he would just walk back and forth while for some reason i can't open the inventory anymore. Now most of that didn't bother me as much as when i completed the game and was recieved with "this story will continue", which was a surprise because in the store page of the game it doesn't stablish that is early access, or still in beta or anything. Then there's some feedback i have like, add something so the npc don't become hollow husks after their introductory mission, let us invite npc now and then to eat sushi, or participate in activities again like freely challenging Aika to a table tennis game. But the most important one is if the npcs have nothing to say on the way to Daruma-zushi then is better if we are just teleported since walking or running adds nothing, or if you really want us to walk wit npcs, add something that encourages the players to do it. I do really like the game but at this point it ain't something i would recommend,

A charming little game, 7 hour run time for doing just a few side quests and all of the main story, did not complete everything since it's not necessary for achievement or rewards other than decorations (as far as I am aware) Very cute little slice of life style story, fun to play after a long day and meet all the characters - though the end does imply there will be more in the future, which I hope for otherwise the story just feels unfinished. Played entirely on desktop w/ controller, did test on steam deck and works perfectly. No game breaking bugs, just that characters would sometimes have bad pathing and be stuck and would not appear during their scenes and dialogue. Only other bug I had was that the voice over wouldn't always match the text boxes and would sometimes repeat or miss entire lines of dialogue. Again, nothing game breaking and only a little annoying. Still a very sweet game, and I would absolutely come back for more.

good game and good artstile my eyes dont burn from playing it like other vr games

It's a simple game about helping out around in a small sushi restaurant and the rest of the town while completing mini games. I played on desktop so I can't really speak of the VR functions. The game isn't that difficult but the main appeal I feel is the characters, the game feels like a slice of life anime and just like an anime it just kind of ends abruptly, I felt the game could have gone on longer but it's fine as it is. Ironically the fishing mini game was my least favorite, the archery and ping pong games were the most fun, all the others didn't even feel like mini games just interactable segments, this isn't Mario party. later in the game I'd get bugs like NPCs not spawning or being unable to move but by reloading the checkpoint I could fix it. I recommend this game to Japanese afficionados or fans of chill anime.

W game super charming, a little buggy but its usually funny when it happens. Amazing voice acting. Just a fun time overall.
