Discounts
Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.
Reviews, worldwide (the counter carries no country): 0.86/day in the week to Sep 1 → 1.29/day in the week after.
For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 24 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 9 places towards #1, and the 2,404 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

Whoever designed the combat for the game and thought it was a good idea should go back to online game developer school......otherwise, for a survival/crafting game that moves forward with a storyline and has an endgame, I had an absolute blast playing this. It's not perfect, and again the combat is atrocious, but a decent, solid gaming experience.

I am a huge fan of most survival crafting games. It's one of my favorite genres. This game feels like a spreadsheet simulator with graphics. It's also unclear on what you should be doing in order to survive or how you should go about doing those things. Resource gathering is unintuitive and tedious. Even on the easiest setting your hunger & thirst far outpace the meager food options available to begin with. The game quickly death spirals into starvation, dehydration, incidental injury, and exhaustion. It becomes a constant scramble just to keep up with basic needs and I wasn't able to secure a position well enough to venture out and progress the story or pursue more advanced crafting recipes which might have helped offset the basic challenges. I understand how these kinds of games work and I expect an amount of challenge. In fact, I started my first run on normal to experience what the developers intended. Well they intended swift death without a clear way to avoid it. So I reduced the difficulty for my second run. Again, swift death with no clear way to avoid it. I again reduced the difficulty to the minimum option and spent the entire time scrabbling like a newcomer to the survival genre. Something feels not only deeply unsatisfying about the calculated, spreadsheet-y way you interact with the world by selecting how many resources you want to try to harvest from a given node and the amount of time which will pass during that harvesting, and the amount of durability your tool will suffer, and the chance of injury you may incur. It's also terribly vague about where to find basic resources or what tools are required to harvest them, or even how you craft some of those tools in the first place. Overall, this game felt intentionally obtuse and needlessly punishing. I wish I could refund it but I took too much time trying to give it a fair chance. Avoid unless you enjoy sweaty try-hard survival experiences.
Crap game don't buy. Stuck on first island, ran out of stones due to making a campfire. Couldn't progress because needed one stone to repair my axe. Can't even dismantle the campfire to get stone. This first impression of the game told me exactly what the money grabbing devs are like. I will not be continuing this game. I wish I hadn't waited so long in playing because now it's not even eligible for a refund. I really abhor devs like these who do not even playtest their games in the slightest and just churn out garbage.
Behind the poor optimization and mediocre graphics lies a true gem of the survival genre. I’ve played many games like this, yet this one still managed to surprise me with its original mechanics. The story, crafting, and combat are solid with no major issues, but the exploration and progression are the best I’ve experienced in a long time. If you enjoyed Green Hell, The Forest, or similar games, I guarantee you’ll love Fountain of Youth. Just don’t forget to stay hydrated - immortality is thirsty work.
Really hits the spot for survival games. Excellent progression, just enough challenge and complexity, serviceable combat. A hit I did not expect out of something I picked up on a whim during a sale.
