Surrealidade is an absolutely phenomenal game. I'm a huge fan of surrealism and point and click adventure games, so this was right up my alley. The graphics may be out of date but to me that adds to the surreal feeling of the game. The characters are all strange yet appealing. This game is great but the remix version is absolutely atrocious. In this version Dimitri Kozma has slapped his own artwork all over the place. At one point one of the characters talks about how much she likes the drawing he made of her. And the whole ♥♥♥♥ about Ai "art" just adds insult to injury. Dimitri's art is mediocre at best, not bad or anything but the disrespectful insertion of it into the game makes it unbearable to me. I couldn't bring myself to finish it. It's less of a continuation of the game and more of an opportunity for Dimitri to jerk himself off about how smart and talented he is. And the attempts at being "meta" are awful. There's nothing wrong with experimenting with the idea of the characters realizing they are in a game. In fact, it could even be interesting. However, they do nothing with it beyond characters saying "I know i'm in a game" when you talk to them. Maybe more is done with it later on after I stopped playing though so I could be wrong. I'm disappointed, because the idea of a continuation of the story is appealing, but the execution leaves much to be desired. It feels like he was trying to make the game worse. I suggest you don't even bother playing the remix, just stick to the original game. I hate to add such negativity to my review, because I absolutely love this game, but I feel this needs to be addressed. Old art should be preserved, not messed with. I'm glad Dimitri at least had the foresight to not mess with the original game and make his version separate.
I guess the real surrealidade is the bananas we met along the way
why take drugs when you can play this awesome game
Point & Click Quest + Adventure + Surrealism. Explore three mysterious worlds: reality, mind and subconscious. Gameplay: https://youtu.be/5ZE8hOD-OYI This is a unique game with retro aesthetics, surreal visual style, great music, unusual creatures, puzzles, mini games and a quiz. There is a voice acting, three different endings, the film by Luis Buñuel and Salvador Dali, "An Andalusian Dog" and a book - a manifesto of surrealists written by André Breton.
