A fantastic indie gem brimming with love and cohesively built battle systems. I wish there were more RPG (choice/character development) elements though it is clear that the lack of them was a design decision likely due to resourcing issues (single dev).
THEY MADE FIRE EMBLEM GOOD!
Tactical gameplay is engaging and the graphics are bright and (after a time) easy to follow. Can't wait to dig deeper into the gameplay as it's very promising
Everything feels snappy and like the early mechanics that are presented. Big things that sells it for me is the polished interface with a classic Warcraft-like mouse cursor!
Shout out from Nova Scotia <3
Hidden gem tactics game that hopefully wont get overlooked in the morass of fire emblem or shining force-esque releases out there. Almost every bit of it just works ahead of the curve and each movement/terrain/environmental mechanic introduced you nod when you recognize how it can later synergize with the unit abilities you encounter. Even the tutorial was kinda fun, a near impossible task!
Deep gameplay and great pixel art, highly recommended!
A neat strategy game taking inspiration from older fire emblem while putting in enough new mechanics and varied abilities of its own to feel fresh.
posting after finishing the campaign, i haven't played any of the skirmish maps yet a pretty good, tight strategy rpg with quick-to-learn mechanics that feel second nature to anyone who's played the genre before. pretty fun story in the campaign as well!
Imma be honest this was a nice interesting that on FE, I just think the guard mechanic is a B I T OP, I mean half the time my characters barely even died because I kept guarding have the time, it's very easy to keep everyone alive in one playthrough with the guard mechanic. Not to mention characters being OP and being able to REGAIN THEIR SHIELD by certain attack abilities. I think if that wasn't the case this game would be a great FE like but... sheesh I felt no threat at all while playing through the story Cx
