There is fun gameplay to be had here, but this game feels like an early access title. From its unfinished graphics, weird camera movements, stuttering, awkward menu design, and sound effects not playing sometimes, I can't really recommend it. If you can get it for cheap, then maybe try it. But for $20? Hard pass
Super Toy Cars Offroad, developed and published by Eclipse Games, takes the miniature racing concept of the series and shifts it into a more rugged, outdoor-focused direction. Instead of the tight, tabletop-style environments seen in earlier entries, this installment moves the action into dirt tracks, snowy paths, and uneven terrain, aiming to capture the feel of offroad racing with toy-sized vehicles. It’s an interesting evolution on paper, but one that introduces both new possibilities and noticeable inconsistencies in execution. The core gameplay remains rooted in arcade racing, with an emphasis on accessibility and speed rather than realism. Vehicles respond quickly to input, making it easy to jump into races without needing to master complex controls. However, the offroad setting introduces a different rhythm to the driving. Surfaces affect traction, bumps disrupt momentum, and sharp turns often require quick adjustments rather than smooth, controlled drifting. This creates a more chaotic style of racing that can feel exciting when it works, but also exposes limitations in the handling system when it doesn’t. Vehicle variety adds some depth to the experience, with different types of offroad machines offering subtle differences in speed, durability, and control. Choosing the right vehicle for a particular track can influence performance, though the differences are not drastic enough to completely change how the game is played. Progression through the career mode unlocks new options and tracks, providing a steady sense of advancement, but the structure remains fairly simple and does not introduce significant new mechanics as players move forward. Track design is one of the more noticeable changes from previous entries. Instead of exaggerated household environments, the courses are built around natural terrain, featuring dirt paths, snow-covered areas, and rugged landscapes filled with obstacles. While these settings offer some visual variety, they lack the playful creativity that defined earlier games in the series. The layouts themselves are functional, with a mix of turns and hazards, but they rarely evolve in ways that keep the experience feeling fresh over extended play sessions. A major factor that affects the overall experience is the physics system. Interactions with terrain and collisions can feel inconsistent, leading to moments where vehicles behave unpredictably. Sudden flips, awkward rebounds, or loss of control can occur even during otherwise well-executed maneuvers. This lack of consistency can be frustrating, as it reduces the sense of control that is essential in a racing game. While some players may find the chaos entertaining, it often feels less like intentional design and more like a lack of refinement. Visually, the game maintains a colorful and stylized approach, though it leans slightly more toward realism than its predecessors. The vehicles are well-designed, and the environments are varied enough to avoid feeling completely repetitive. However, the overall presentation lacks the distinctive charm that comes from transforming everyday objects into race tracks. The outdoor settings, while serviceable, feel more conventional and less imaginative, which makes the game less visually memorable. Multiplayer remains one of the stronger aspects of the experience. Local split-screen racing adds an element of unpredictability and shared enjoyment that helps offset some of the game’s mechanical shortcomings. Competing against other players turns chaotic moments into sources of fun rather than frustration, making it a better fit for casual group play than for extended solo sessions. However, the limited number of tracks and modes means that even multiplayer can lose its appeal after repeated play. Despite its shortcomings, Super Toy Cars Offroad still delivers moments of enjoyable, fast-paced racing, particularly in short bursts. Its accessible design makes it easy to pick up, and the offroad focus provides a different flavor compared to more traditional arcade racers. However, the lack of polish, inconsistent physics, and limited variety prevent it from fully realizing its potential. In the end, Super Toy Cars Offroad feels like an experiment that introduces new ideas without fully refining them. It offers a casual and occasionally entertaining racing experience, especially when played with others, but struggles to maintain consistency and long-term engagement. For players looking for a light, arcade-style racer, it can provide some fun, though it falls short of delivering a truly standout experience. Rating: 6/10
I hide bad games I don't want them in my collection, this isn't a bad game, it is sort of fun.
"While the game might be fun in some Area's having AI that not only Rubber Band but can get 7 second lap times in a Minute race..Unacceptable, period. The physics are also extremely frustrating to deal with, randomly bouncing ETC. Would not recommend."
Luckily i bought it in sale.. Dont buy this game! Xbox Controller was supported, but the game is really bad, no fun , no race feeling .. its like worst mario kart ;-) After 15 Minutes deinstalled ... wtf
doesnt support controllers and I keep on getting black screen through out the whole car selection and race screen. unplayable.
Just beat the game, and I can say it was really fun. - It's bright and arcadey, and tracks, drivers, and vehicles are nice and varied. - Handling of cars, and they way they perform is quite different - you'll find the one(s) you like soon enough. - Physics are a bit janky, and the AI can sometimes be a punish, but the game has the perfect difficulty level (imho) - Single-player is over in less than 8 hours, but the game does have 2 player split-screen (but no dedicated online mode). Probably worth it on sale if you can get it for less than $10

Buen producto con mucho potencial
