It is the year 198X. Big hair is hot, and the war with the Soviets is colder than a refreshing glass of New Coke. RAD RAYGUN must travel the world fighting communist robots, and save the 1980′s by shooting his way through the decade in a totally fresh, expanded version of the original XBLIG game.

I love this game so far... takes me back to my Gameboy days.
I found this little indie gem a heck-of-a-lot of fun! Gameboy style graphics, tight controls, and a absolutely awesome retro 8 bit soundtrack. In my opinion, this game is worth every penny of it's $4.99 asking price. Highly recommended!! Edit: I forgot to mention this game runs in buttery smooth 60fps.

Super Rad Raygun certainly is Rad! Best non-Mega Man, Mega Man game to date! Filled with so much creative goodness! Here's why: https://megabadger24.wordpress.com/2017/01/04/my-top-ten-best-games-of-2016-5-1/
Really fun little retro platformer. I've beaten 3 levels sofar. The upgrade + battery system keeps the game fresh. Nicely done!
The game is a great throw back to the 80's the game play is great, the soundtrack is a must have, and it is fun going back to levels to get the batteries you missed. After the main game you unlock boss rush and you can make a custom palette. But when you get all the batteries rad becomes way to over powered and you don't get any more stages after beating the game it would be nice if there were hidden stages or extra hard stages you unlock after beating the main game. But the Base game is very fun and I can't wait to see what else Tru Fun Entertainment makes next.
Super Rad Raygun, from the start, is a great experience. As someone who got their degree in international relations the political satire was one of my favorite parts of the game, and the references throughout the game to both real life events and other retro games were a joy to behold. It has a fantastic soundtrack and I love the pixel art, and although the enemy design is realtively simple it fits the theme and it just works. Admittedly some of the bosses shine brighter than others (particularly Medved) but I get the feeling that that's kind of the point. I really like that the game doesn't bog you down with excessive reminders of your controls and mechanics and it just lets you figure out your preferred build, which is obviously part of the fact that this game pays homage to the old style of game design. I haven't yet gotten all of the achievements but will definitely putting in the time to do so, and for $10 I think you'd struggle to find a better playthrough on steam. If you ever enjoyed any kind of platformer back in the day, this one's for you.
