It's a puzzle platformer. But it's unlike any game I know. The depth of this game comes from the items. There are so many different items, from bombs that let you destroy the terrain (just don't get yourself blasted off), to bubble gums that turn you very bouncy at the expense of not being able to move, and so on. Each item can be activated at will, but can only be activated once, so you have to figure out when and where to use each item in the level. Many items have interactions with each other too. The game also comes with so many secrets. There are a bunch of collectibles in levels -- some in plain sight but hard to get, some completely hidden. Given that every single item is one-time use, you have to figure out which items you can spare to make a detour to the collectible while allowing you to still finish the level. And the secrets themselves have secrets! What if you struggle with the platforming element? You do still need to have some platforming skills, but there's a save/load system in the level. You can save your position at literally any time, and load it for a quick retry. No need to redo the level all over. Much easier to try a difficult jump when you can focus on it. Finally, this game is somehow a niche within a niche. Even in my puzzle game community, already pretty obscure compared to all the mainstream games, people still don't know this game. Really? Go play this game.

Catgirl. ... What, you want more? Fine. Super Puzzled Cat is a fun game with clever puzzle design, a fun variety of items, a cute and amusingly deranged style, and a surprising amount of depth and secrets. It's tough, but the save state feature keeps the game from getting frustrating, and the variety of goals you can work towards at any given time means you won't get stuck beating your head against a wall unless you want to. I'm not normally a big fan of these types of games, but I love this one. Super Puzzled Cat is a true hidden gem and deserves more attention.
I don't generally like most puzzle games but this one feels like it could be my favourite of all time. The puzzles feel very creative and unique yet also sensible, and consistently push the limits of your arsenal. I can't recall any puzzle game hitting the balance for me of not being so hard I get stuck for hours and give up/cheat, but also not so easy i just breeze through it. Many puzzles where I feel stuck for like 10 minutes before suddenly seeing the solution and it all clicks, a rare moment for me with other games. And that's just the puzzle design, the visuals are cute and charming, there's a lot to do and see in the game, the entire OST is of spectacular quality and it really seems like a lot of love was put into the game. To clarify, I realise as I write this I only have 7 hours and claim there's lots to do, although I haven't finished it, I'm no where close, I got a rough idea for how much is in the game from a series of streams of the game I listened to before buying. My one real critique thus far is something others have mentioned, tools bind to different buttons each level because there's like 30 of them. It's understandable but sucks for muscle memory. But, again, it's still looking like my favourite puzzle game of all time.
when the cat goes nyanyanya, i lol also this is like the best game ever but the no death thing on fireworks makes me VERY >:(
easily my 2025 GOTY. great art, fun puzzles, creative as hell, tough as nails but very accessible with a bunch of secrets/optional stuff to find and do after reaching enlightenment
This is one of the best games ever made, very few games come close to the level of puzzle, exploration and skill this game has, with a comfortable presentation and music . This is a real diamond that should be played by everyone.
Excellent Puzzle/Precision Platformer. Puzzles are creative and push the limits of your toolset, and there's a ton of optional content and collectibles. The soundtrack is very good as well. Be warned though that even though you (usually) have access to infinite savestates in game, this is still a game that requires a high degree of dexterity to play. You frequently need to do pretty precise and vaired button inputs.
