The title says it all. Take one part falling block puzzle game, combine one part old-school platformer, add a couple thousand pixels, blend and serve. Why match colored blocks when you can just shoot the hell out of them? Your goal is to survive as long as you can. From celebrated indie developer Andrew Morrish and Adult Swim Games.

Game is really fun, but beware if you're looking to play this on a handheld PC (where this is thing is pretty amazing btw) This game as it currently is, is effectively a power virus. Framerate is uncapped, AMD adrenaline can't force vsync on it. It rips at over 700 fps on my GPD Win Max 2 that has a ryzen 7 6800U. The screen is 60 fps, the resolution is 2560x1600. Prepare for comically high fps and it all makes for battery draining and thermal hell. Your device will cook, your fans will scream.
Good game, *very* good challenges, *very* bad way to unlock hero challenges.
This game is really fun but will sadly be removed soon as WB is shutting down adult swim games and refusing to transfer games to dev accounts. So buy now if you wanna play. It is worth the 7$ cost.
A time capsule of game design
Man, remember when every other hit release of the 2010s was a "tough-as-nails" 2D platformer? At time of review, "Boomer-Shooters" are the current hotness. They are so much easier. Super Puzzle Platformer combines block-breaking with zero-health frantic avoidance of obstacles. You can get into a really good rhythm with this game, spawning stars just as the hazards start showing up, destroying everything on the screen, then grabbing another star. But you're never more than a small slip-up away from starting all over again, and sometimes the spawn locations are so capricious that you'd swear the game was deliberately ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ with you. Still, it's a good addition to your 2D library for sure. Recommended.

mid game but gating content behind golden blocks that just randomly drop and you have to get lucky is such an incredibly stupid decision
This is a perfect game.
Originally played the flash version and this expands on it considerably! I would say worth the price if you know what you're getting into, something fun to kill time and get some achievements here and there. Not the easiest game ever but definitely enjoyable
