Elles sont découpées en 6 tronçons avec un temps de passage qu'il faut respecter sous peine de game over obligeant à recommencer. Each race is divided into six segments with a time limit that must be met, otherwise it's a game over, forcing you to start over. The game is engaging and should keep you busy for a few hours with its content that can be explored quickly.

Feels like an old Gameboy game that I used to like. Definitely some of the other drivers felt unfairly placed or not lit well enough to react to them and I would have really liked a CPU race mode but it was pretty fun

Nice little game. Nothing extra. Worth its money. Reminds me of Lotus on DOS from 1993.

The core of Super Night Riders is similar to titles like Hang-On or OutRun where you thread the needle between other racers while extending your time in each stage as the course shifts into a new aesthetic. If you recognize the style from the trailer you should fully know what to expect from the whole game. It is quite a bit more basic than I anticipated however. Closer to the first Hang-On rather than any of AM2's later titles. Transmission is automatic, there is no boosting, bumping into other racers feels very static and basic (you cannot fall off of the bike). The turning also feels a little odd almost as if it is a bit on rails at points but you get used to it. I do not mind any of this but it does make me not have any real interest in revisiting the game after I got all of the achievements. The soundtrack is very notable and has a bit of its own style I did not anticipate. I would honestly compare it more to the Ys series before any SEGA racer, but thats just fine by me. I enjoyed every track and appreciated that you could swap between each whenever you wanted. My only real negative with the game is that some locations have poor color combinations with the tracks and racers making it hard to make out what is ahead of you at times. Nearsighted or colorblind gamers might want to skip the game for this reason. Super Night Riders is not as solid as SEGA's classic arcade titles, but I had a lot of fun getting all of the achievements in the span of two hours. Good for the price. It is also worth noting that there is a remake in development, but what is here is nice for a weeknight playthrough.
