I would LOOOVE to give my childhood game a thumbs up BUT. The Goldium version has this bug that whenever you press ESC... it will just end the game... And it seems this is reported all the way back to 2014... so i dont expect to see a fix. Considering how many games today its a normal thing to use ESC to close inventory / pause games etc.. This bug is pretty much an insta kill due to old habbits... You can run it in windowed mode if you dont mind having a 300x300 size mini winddow to play in. it does not seem there is a way to increase the size
This game feels literally incomplete. I really wanted to love it, but there are too many basic issues that make it frustrating to play. - No upgrade explanations. The game never explains what each upgrade actually does, so progression feels like guessing. -Unbreakable blocks / progression blockers: There are many blocks you simply can’t break no matter what you do. The only workaround is using bombs, but that destroys ores, which feels counterproductive. - Drill upgrades seem broken since there’s only one drill upgrade, which feels like a bug or unfinished system. I tested it (even boosting drill upgrades artificially), and only then the drill could break those “unbreakable” blocks—at that point the game finally became playable. -Nearly nothing is added to old mechanics. Aside from slightly better movement, it doesn’t really build on the core mechanics in a meaningful way. -The UI canvas is tilted, some text goes off-screen, I can’t properly see the inventory, and the interface feels unfinished overall. It has potential (or the original has potential), but in its current state it is incomplete and needs basic progression/UI fixes before I can recommend it.
A dissapointing sequel to the original. As a matter of fact, i prefer the original. This game has better graphics and that's about it. Multiplayer is weird, you have to play on the same screen. And none of the mechanics and upgrades are explained, you have to figure it out yourself.
Good game, nothing else to say here
The game does refresh the original Motherloads gameplay with puzzles and progression, but the game tends to crash out of the blue which really kills the vibe for a game as short as this. Also, it feels like late game there's no efficient way to afford the super expensive upgrades even with the deepest areas of the game available. Love Motherload, Kind of like Super Motherload, a good game with friends if it didnt crash from time to time.
Pretty slick gameplay progression. Map editor made it more fun for me. Wicked game here comrades! Thanks!
A good game that keeps it's faith to the orignal fro XgenStudios.com =)
Not "super motherload" but the OG "Motherload Goldium edition" is a hidden Flash game GEM! Must have if you like these style of games!!!
