What a delightful little RPG. 💜 Almost three hours in and I am hooked! I came for the cute art and stayed for the lovable characters, heartfelt writing, booty-shaking music and surprisingly fun battles. It has so much charm, and you can really feel the extreme amount of care that went into making it. If you're looking for an indie RPG with a lot of heart, this one is absolutely worth your time. Don't hesitate and grab the cuteness that is SLARPG today!
So I saw this game pop up in a meme on a Transgender subreddit and decided I would eventually give this game a go. And what a pleasure it was! The story is surprisingly well written given the name of the game, with some twists I didn't expect and there was genuinely some tears throughout my playthrough. Ignoring that I am myself a Transbian: there is a lot of Melody I see in my own personality,
right down to her insecurities
... Which is probably why I really connected (and felt for) Mel throughout the entire story! I walked around for most of the campaign rather than running, and the amount of side-quests really racks up my final play time of SLARPG. And I do think completing those side-quests helped me finish the campaign itself... Stars knows I would've had more difficulty otherwise! Some poeple have commented how unexceptional the combat is... Considering I don't normally play turn-based RPGs, I can't say much in that regard. But I personally found it pretty fun and engaging with all the different effects to keep track of. My team kissed over 370 times. :3 However the best part of Super Lesbian Animal RPG has to be the art and music! The characters of the main and side cast are very cute. I just love the look of the party in particular - such an adorable bunch of misfits! With the music being very pleasing on the ear and is one of the better soundtracks I've heard: the tracks are exciting and I could listen to them all day. So yeah, overall I would recommend this game! The title, and it's abbreviation, is very on the nose; but it's one of those times where you shouldn't judge a book by it's cover. Even if you're not Trans or a Lesbian - I think there is some real enjoyment that you can get out of this. Lesbiabs are cool, this game is cool... SLARPG shows why I'm more excited with indie games then what the corpo AAA's are doing these days - highly recommend! ^^
A great little rpg about super lesbian animal girls! I'm in completely love with the artstyle and incredible ost in this game, they wear their colors on their sleeves! Story wise it think it lands it's themes quite smoothly, all the characters have great arcs and space to show their growth in the story, and while the LGBTQ+ themes are pertinent to the story, it doesn't embody everything about the character, each one of them have different issues to work on. Not to mention, the game also manages to balance all the drama, with great moments of comedy in between. The only caveat that i find here, it's that the gameplay is pretty basic, i didn't had much issues on combat nor the puzzles, especially that they don't use the game system to convey the themes of the story very well, for instance they could show character development by a class change or whatnot Still it's a solid game in the RPGMK library, and i can totally recommend for any rpg fan out there!
girls~ Actually a well designed story, i did cry Great graphics, love the designs And very statisfying gameplay
the title didnt lie, this game is very lesbian
so far its a pretty fun and funny game! i think entering blind is the best choice - i just finished the first act and i'm VERY intrigued on where the plot is going... also the kissing being a game mechanic is cute. i like seeing happy couples in media :P
Easy recommendation. One of the most fun games I've played in a while. What at first seems to be a lighthearted and wholesome adventure quickly turns into a world-ending threat. The story and characters are obviously the biggest highlight. Melody in particular reminds me so much of myself, and her whole character arc draws lots of parallels to my life in the last few years, as well as my relationship with my girlfriend. The combat isn't super deep. Stacking damage buffs on Allison and keeping Mel on healing and resource management duty does the trick most of the time. Though there is some build variation and I haven't played around with all the spellbooks during my playthrough. In later parts of the game, some fights were a bit of a slog because of this. The whacky and bizarre enemy designs still kept it very fun up until the end. The artstyle is extremely cute and interesting and the music absolutely slaps. I'll definitely purchase the soundtrack! Most memorable for me was the glitchy music in the
corrupted dungeons
. From the technical side, I've had a few stability issues in the second half of the game, but I'll blame my PC for that. The settings menu is pretty barebones, and I have no idea what half the settings do or how to properly remap my controls. I ended up playing with a controller, which worked flawlessly. I finished my first playthrough in ~16 hours, doing all of the side quests except one, and only fighting two of
the boys
.
I owe it to this game for giving me my last name
Very cute queer game <3
game is exactly what the title says
